@DsMatie With a high volume with loud music and hundreds of people speaking, it might also be hard to understand names of people and companies. Especially when hard to pronounce. Sometimes people remember a logo better than names or faces. In the end, people can still choose to wear them.

@DsMatie With the event having a wide variety if different attendees, app devs, theme devs, agencies/freelancers, merchant, and some that don't fit any category, I think they can be helpful. Not only to check who you might want to talk to, but also who is approaching you.

We’ve never had name badges at The Wide Event. I wanted people to talk out of curiosity. But badges can make you talk to someone because of who they are. Or avoid them for the same reason (I’ve probably done it too, without noticing) Should we change this?

I'd like to run a coding with AI workshop at my local library... But I can solve the subscription question. No model provider offers a 1 day pass. The best solution I have is to suggest the participants purchase a pro subscription and make the workshop cheap enough.

Spin up a @rootswp Bedrock site in your browser 🌐 Powered by php-wasm, ghostty-web, Astro on Cloudflare Workers (Extremely alpha phase & still in a private repo. Got a decent roadmap but time is tight atm - it'll eventually support Acorn and Sage) playground.roots.io

@liam_at_shopify No. To heavy and clunky. I'll use a bike to get around, stand at Shopifolk booths, will hang out at the after events, etc. If you plan on offering a lot of things that will require a laptop, pooling them in one day would be great. Or offer lockers 🤔

@TRPage_dev Especially impactful, after the Partner Slack also shut down recently. It feels like there is a general shift going on everywhere.

PLEASE @browsercompany the ONLY thing that is preventing me from using @diabrowser right now is the easy "profile switch". If you can please build that I will even leave Arc for it 👀

It's absolutely insane how much better apps like Claude or Cursor work with proper planning MD files. 90% of issues one-shot.

@robj3d3 Not for my perfectionism. I'll have to live with that imperfect version of the video being out there. Software I can always improve 😊

There is something indescribably satisfying about creating a YouTube video. Export. Publish. Done. You don't get the same satisfaction with coding. Software is never done.
Dmytro Krasun@DmytroKrasun

We watched a movie yesterday, and I realized how fulfilling it should feel to create something completely finished. I never have this feeling when building software. There is no cut line. My backlog is infinite. Even for side projects. That frustrates me a lot. Often.
