So let’s get this straight. Mark Carney stood in front of cameras and assured Canadians he raised human rights and foreign interference with Beijing, said it plainly, repeatedly, confidently. And now his own government quietly admits… he didn’t. It’s almost impressive, the speed at which “clear-eyed” turns into carefully avoided. Canadians get the speeches about democracy, climate change, and human rights. Beijing gets the silence, the deals, and the smiles. And somehow we’re all expected to pretend those two versions of reality don’t exist at the same time. #FFS #cdnpoli

@ryangerritsen Both are awful. Pierre lost his seat and the election. Then kicked out a long standing CPC member to steal that seat. Sounds like a villain to me. PP has the charisma of cardboard.

Just a reminder of what path Carney chose when he went on a U.S. talk show. One of cheap shots & disparagement against a sitting Canadian politician. Anyone remember the media aghast with what he said? Or remember them spending entire segments analyzing every word with insane scrutiny?

Canadian PM Carney visited PM Takaichi in Tokyo, treated his host with respect, and signed a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership with Japan. Trump sat with Takaichi in the White House, blathered like an imbecile about Pearl Harbor, and damaged U.S. relations with Japan.

PIERRE CRUSHED IT ON JOE ROGAN: -He defended Canada against 51st state comments -He was very charming -He REFUSED TO CRITICIZE CARNEY on foreign soil -He rightfully so, defended that Castro is not Trudeau’s father -He respectfully & tactfully didn’t fall into conspiracy theory traps -He did a beautiful job explaining his role as the Opposition & how keeping the government to account is the most loyal thing one can do Joe Rogan showed a great deal of respect for him, his intelligence & they both laughed hysterically when Joe asked him “How did you lose?!” People don’t realize, that as much as Joe Rogan is painted as “far right”, he’s logical and I consider him well balanced. There’s a reason why he has the biggest podcast in the world. Pierre did an incredible job.

@Roman_Baber @PierrePoilievre Roman, he's not the right fit to lead Conservatives. The fact you and others are shaking your pompoms doesn't change his character. He has 0 new ideas and a flat personality.

There is only one way to describe @PierrePoilievre addressing the Harvard Club in New York this evening - Prime Minister. "Our countries are always stronger when we work together in friendship." 🇨🇦🇺🇸

A simple rule: when the U.S. asks for help, it’s best to step up. Canada’s decision to join the Strait of Hormuz operation is a smart move by the Prime Minister.

Joe Rogan & Pierre Poilievre hysterically laugh at Rogan’s question: “How the hell did you lose?” And he’s right. As an outsider looking in, Rogan sees what Poilievre offers: -less taxes -more freedom -safer streets -a better plan How can anyone ever go against that?

I genuinely want to get excited about Poilievre saying something cool and disruptive in a podcast clip. But it never happens. My gut response is always this guy is so contrived & calculated - he comes across as a textbook fake politician. The anecdotes sound pre-canned the laughter feels performative and despite him and his team's efforts the things he actually says are not risque or ground breaking whatsoever. In fact they pretty well always err on the side of EXTREME caution. Am I wrong? Send me his spiciest clip from this Joe Rogan podcast. Did he at least say something bold about their only being 2 sexes? Did he push back against the Kamloops mass grave hoax? Anything good about stopping immigration? From what I've seen so far poor Joe tries his best to make Poilievre sound like a human being by disrupting the stiff calculated vibe that infects the room everytime Pierre starts speaking. I really want to have confidence in Poilievre and know that he has the charisma and is capable of shifting the conversation in Canada... But I watch him in action and I don't feel anything. I watch speech after sound byte after big opportunity like this and don't see anything worth getting excited about.

I’m 30min into the Joe Rogan podcast and Pierre has already done more to get us closer to a tariff free deal and knock off Trumps 51st state comments than Carney has done in a year. I can’t believe we didn’t elect this guy.

The Liberals spent $4.5 MILLION to literally fund vending machines that dispensed opioids to those suffering with addiction. The organization that received the funding, MySafe Society, was founded by BC's former Deputy Provincial Health Officer, Mark Tyndall. According to testimony at the health committee, Mark Tyndall advocated for decriminalization and safe supply policies while serving in his government role. Health Canada then handed this organization $4.5 million to build opioid vending machines in multiple cities through the Substance Use and Addictions Program. When I asked Health Canada how many drugs were diverted from these machines to the street, they had no answer. When I asked how many users recovered from addiction because of these machines, they had no answer. In what world is it acceptable for the federal government to pay for vending machines to dispense opioids?
