Both Republican @SpeakerJohnson and @RepJeffries have acknowledged that insider trading in Congress is a serious problem and must be stopped, and have signaled support to stop the corrupt process of insider trading via individual stock trades, but political games have already started to play out behind the scenes so I couldn’t wait any longer. NEW: 'Teacher of the Year' at an Alabama elementary school arrested after a horrific video of her allegedly beating her 12-year-old son with a belt was leaked by the boy's older brother. 2nd-grade teacher Nicole Staples has been charged & fired from her job. Staples's older son, Jackson, says he was the one who leaked the footage to Cottage Hill Christian Academy, where she worked. She was named Teacher of the Year just last May. "I didn’t feel like, you know, she should be working at the school or even doing that to my little brothers," said 24-year-old Jackson Staples. Jackson said his mom had "done it to me my whole life." Staples was charged with willful abuse of a child under 18. What a good brother Jackson is.
