@HAHayatu This tweet is unnecessary. Do you support banditry or you want solution? Is Igboho the problem or the kidnappers roaming the forest and killing people? Walahi, this is hare-brained tweet from an old man.

@IU_Wakilii Igboho was caught and jailed in Benin Republic during Buhari administration and got released in 2023. How was that Tinubu's problem? Igboho was a PDP thug who terrorised Tinubu's ACN. What do you have to say?

Tinubu imprisoned Nnamdi Kanu but granted Amnesty to Sunday Igboho, and there crime is same and same, calling for the seperation of Nigeria. The only difference is Sunday Igboho is a Yoruba man!

A FIFA World Cup host country must guarantee two fundamental principles: the safety of the country — and the unrestricted entry of all qualified teams, officials and referees. The case of referee Omar Artan from Somalia is against one of these obligations. FIFA must never compromise the universality of football. #Fifa #Somalia #GianniInfantino #CAF #OmarAtan #DonaldTrump

On a Monday morning in March 2023, Amara Nwosu woke up to discover she had bought a house. She had not bought a house. She had never signed any document. She had never met the seller. But somewhere in the Lagos land registry, her BVN, her NIN, her signature — perfect, precise, indistinguishable from the one she had used her entire adult life — had authorised the purchase of a property worth ₦47 million. And the loan taken to buy it was in her name. Amara was 34. A data analyst at a telecoms firm in Victoria Island. She was the kind of person who used different passwords for different accounts, who read privacy policies, who had set up two-factor authentication on everything she owned before most Nigerians knew what two-factor authentication meant. She was, professionally and personally, a woman who understood how data worked. Which is why, when she saw the loan alert on her phone at 6:47am, her blood went cold in a specific way. Not panic. Recognition. Someone had been inside her life.

@Only1kai Some few years (15 years, i think) ago in Nigeria, someone jokingly posted the cure for ebola is to bathe with salt water at midnight. The whole country started bathing with salt at midnight. Price of salt skyrocketed. Educated people were forced to doubt science. Crazy week.

OPERATION HADIN KAI RECORDS MAJOR SUCCESS AS HIGH-PROFILE ISWAP COMMANDERS SURRENDER UNDER SUSTAINED MILITARY PRESSURE Operation HADIN KAI has recorded another significant success in the ongoing counter-terrorism campaign following the surrender of two high-profile Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) commanders to troops on 8 June 2026. The surrendered terrorists, identified as Ismail Mohammed and Abu Umar, are currently in military custody and undergoing appropriate profiling and debriefing procedures. Preliminary assessments indicate that the two individuals occupied strategic positions within the terrorist hierarchy and operated within the Mangari axis of the Lake Chad region. One of the surrendered commanders, Ismail Mohammed was a close associate of senior ISWAP Leader Baa Shuwa and possessed extensive knowledge of the group’s command structure and activities. The second individual, Abu Umar, was widely known within the terrorist network as a skilled explosives specialist with responsibilities linked to the fabrication and maintenance of vehicle borne improvised explosive devices and other combat-support equipment used by the terrorists. Interrogation further revealed that another high profile terrorist, Mohammed Khalifa, a member the ISWAP Shurah Council was neutralised during the joint operations by OPHK. The surrender of the two commanders represents a major setback to the terrorist organisation, particularly given their experience, influence and technical expertise acquired over several years within the insurgent network. Their decision to flee and surrender further underscores the effectiveness of sustained offensive operations by troops of Operation HADIN KAI, complemented by precision engagements conducted with the support of Allied Partners against terrorist enclaves across the Theatre. The combined pressure from these operations continues to degrade terrorist capabilities, weaken their operational networks, and compel increasing numbers of insurgents to surrender. This development further demonstrates the growing desperation and declining morale within terrorist ranks as relentless military pressure continues to deny them freedom of action and safe havens. It also reinforces the effectiveness of ongoing efforts aimed at dismantling terrorist leadership structures and disrupting their operational capabilities. Operation HADIN KAI remains committed to maintaining relentless pressure on all terrorist elements. The military will continue to exploit all available opportunities to dismantle terrorist networks and restore lasting stability to affected communities. HARUNA M SANI Lieutenant Colonel Acting Media Information Officer Headquarters Joint Task Force (North East) Operation HADIN KAI 11 June 2026

@RepRileyMoore @POTUS Probably you're as dummb as your POTUS. Nigerians have been clamouring for state police from time immemorial. Tinubu as a private citizen as been calling previous NASS to pass the law for state police. Don't overhyped your importance. Leave Nigeria alone.

I am thankful to see that Nigeria’s House of Representatives passed this important policy that I’ve been calling for since @POTUS first asked me to investigate the genocide against Christians in Nigeria. In fact, I raised this idea directly with Nigeria’s First Lady during her visit to Washington and have done so repeatedly with every Nigerian delegation I’ve met with. Ensuring states can protect their own citizens is a critical step toward ending the persecution of Christians and the overall instability in the Nigeria. President Tinubu deserves credit for supporting this legislation and urging its passage through Nigeria’s parliament, and I hope to see him continue pushing on this issue. There’s still a ways to go before state level police forces will be in place, but this is a sign that all our hard work is paying off.

FCT POLICE ARREST BANDITS SPOTTED BRANDISHING WEAPONS IN VIRAL VIDEO The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has arrested three kidnappers who appeared in a viral video openly brandishing AK-47 rifles, ammunition, and walkie-talkies while dressed in military camouflage. The kidnappers are identified as Umar Babangida (25), Adamu Yeti (22), and Yahaya Idris (24), are all residents of Rijana, Kaduna State. Confirming the development to journalists, the Commissioner of Police, FCT Command, CP Ahmed Sanusi, disclosed that he immediately ordered a forensic analysis to determine the origin of the footage and directed a manhunt for the suspects as soon as the video surfaced. According to the Commissioner, digital forensic tracking and actionable intelligence led operatives to the suspects’ hideout. Acting on the intelligence, police operatives carried out a coordinated dawn raid at Runji Village in Zuba on May 25 at about 3:22 a.m., leading to the successful arrest of the suspects.

Africa is sleepwalking into a dangerous future. Social media monetisation has turned an entire generation away from skill, mastery and innovation. Everyone wants to be an influencer. Nobody wants to learn a craft, build anything, invent anything or develop expertise. Even students in engineering, medicine and law are choosing ring lights over real careers because the system rewards virality more than value. And we have seen this movie before. Look closely at Black America. Their most celebrated paths became entertainment, music, comedy and sports. A powerful culture, yes, but not a powerful economy. Visibility without ownership. Fame without structural influence. Africa is drifting toward that same trap at full speed. Meanwhile, countries like China, India, South Korea and Germany are producing engineers, technicians, inventors and manufacturers at scale. They reward innovation. We reward content creators. They build industries. We build followings. The future does not belong to the continent that dances the most, but to the one that creates, designs, engineers and produces. If Africa continues to chase fame instead of skill, we will become a continent of performers with no producers, loud but not powerful, visible but not valuable. Entertainment can enrich individuals, but it cannot build nations. Only innovation can. Only expertise can. Only craftsmanship can. We are running out of time to choose what kind of future we want: a viral continent or a visionary one. Only one leads to real power. Kimi Regal

The man was our direct neighbour in Guzape. He was hardly around because he spent most of his time out of the country. In fact, he had just returned from Turkey barely two days before his son killed him. His children lived in the house and lacked nothing. They even had an inverter, and my sister would often joke about their electricity bill because their ACs were almost always on, especially in this Adelabu Band A era. Only for the shocking truth to emerge that his own son killed him. At first, the boy tried to make it look like armed robbers had attacked the house. But thankfully, a neighbour’s CCTV camera was reviewed, and it showed that he was the last person to enter the compound with his girlfriend around 2am. Honestly, this world is becoming frightening. It is heartbreaking that a son could do something like this to his own father! 😪

His son confronted him of being stingy with money, citing how some of his friends' fathers, who were not as wealthy, buy cars for their children. The deceased on the other day, accused his son of being extravagant and mismanaging funds. Following the argument, his son stabbed him thrice, and he died at the spot. It was reported that on this fate ful day, his son had returned from club with two ladies on. And he killed his father in their presence. He's currently in police custody.
