A domestic dispute in the Hassan's Gerooru police station limits has taken a new turn after a woman allegedly left her husband and daughter and fled with her lover, sparking a controversy involving conflicting allegations from both sides. The woman, identified as Harshita, had been married to Prakash for eight years. According to reports, she left home overnight and later appeared in a viral video where her lover is seen tying a mangalsutra on her inside a car. The situation escalated further when Harshita reportedly contacted her husband and expressed regret, requesting him to take her back. However, Prakash refused. Shortly after, she released a video statement from an undisclosed location, denying his claims. Speaking to the media, Prakash alleged that Harshita left the house on April 10 after drugging him with sleeping pills and took gold jewellery and cash. He claimed she had earlier reconciled with him after police intervention but later left again. He also accused her of abandoning their child and demanded strict legal action. Harshita, however, rejected all allegations, stating that she left of her own free will and was subjected to mental and physical harassment. She claimed she was pressured, restricted at home, and denied basic freedoms. She also alleged that she had previously sought help and wanted a divorce. She further stated that she is willing to legally end the marriage and raise her child independently, while denying any claims of abduction or coercion. Police have not yet issued a detailed official statement, and the matter is under investigation as both parties continue to present conflicting versions of events.
