National conservative influencers are now posting these hypothetical “Dudley beats Kotek” runoff polls, insinuating he’s the only candidate that can turn Oregon red.
Guys… he has to make it OUT of the primary first.
As someone who works in media and watches these cycles closely, I’m rolling my eyes. Viral tweets from big national accounts don’t magically change Oregon election math.
The reality? Dudley is likely headed for 3rd in the primary election. These hypothetical general election matchups mean absolutely nothing if he never gets there.
Hate to break it to the national Twitter crowd, but tweeting Oregon red from 2,000 miles away isn’t the same thing as understanding Oregon politics.

Early voting begins next Saturday, May 23rd, and it’s estimated that roughly 50% of all primary voters in Nevada will vote early. Election Day for the Nevada primary is Tuesday, June 9th, 2026. Nevada lobbyist Billy Vassiliadis told The Nevada Independent @TheNVIndy on May 10th that RINO James Settelmeyer @SettelmeyerNV was one of his “favorite people” while bragging about Settelmeyer’s role in essentially enforcing the Green New Deal and sabotaging coal in Nevada. Vassiliadis was very grateful for then-Nevada State Senator Settelmeyer’s role in passing a bill aimed at canceling coal. He is quoted in the article as saying: “Vassiliadis said Settelmeyer could see reality and was key in ending coal-burning energy generation in the state — the last time he remembers such a controversial bill getting through a committee with unanimous support.” My previous reporting on this key Congressional race that is pivotal to the GOP keeping control of the House highlighted how James Settelmeyer’s woke voting record also includes support for illegal aliens obtaining driver’s licenses and support for biological men in women’s sports. What is the cause of Settelmeyer’s horrific voting record in the Nevada State Senate? Maybe Settelmeyer can explain his liberal voting record to Nevada voters before Election Day, because his policy record is so horrific, he could NEVER be trusted to be one of Nevada’s GOP Congressional nominees on a general election ballot. I've now as of today, had 5 candidates for #NV02 Congress stop into my little cigar shop in Fallon. So far they've all been very nice but I'm not sure why they come to me? I'm just another voter but good on them.

I was in Revenue Interim Committee yesterday. Tom Burns, director of GOED, reported that out of the 66 data centers in NV none of our communities have had an increase in power bills b/c NV Energy requires that these data centers pay for the infrastructure upfront which is different than those states who bake it into the rates over time.
