In case you were wondering about the direction of things, this is example 10,000 of the Church appeasing modern secular FEMINIST trends. Placing women in teaching and leadership positions (over the teaching of doctrine as Sunday School President) where they have authority over men is explicitly condemned in the Bible and is just one more example of the Church following the New World Order playbook where the Church will be totally hollowed out. The leaders are gradualists... gradually chipping away at the patriarchal structure of our religion. Doing everything they can to bend the longstanding teachings and structure of the Church to fit feminist sensibilities. We have seen it with the changing of the endowment ordinance, the lowering of the mission age for women, the loss of modesty standards, alterations to the garment etc. Every other major Christian denomination that goes down this path (see the Anglican Church) eventually goes the route of endorsing women as leaders at EVERY level and of gay marriages being condoned and performed with the approval of church leaders. I am disgusted but not surprised. Been pointing out these trends for years now... but have been blocked by all the head in the sand lds Twitter peeps. None of the Mormies will say a word. They go along with everything. I am heartbroken but promise you that my predictions of total gayifycation will be vindicated.
