This is a landmark piece by @RobBurl. I've only tweeted the tiniest fraction. Please read it all if you can: x.com/unherd/status/…
UnHerd@unherd

Inside the capture of the BBC, by Rob Burley (@RobBurl) In his 13 years as a senior BBC editor, Rob Burley saw the Corporation’s defining commitment to impartiality undermined by transgender ideology, a blind commitment to Diversity & Inclusion schemes, and a culture of intolerance. Informed by his experiences at Newsnight alongside other prestige shows, his major investigation reveals how the BBC took a side in the culture wars. He draws on extensive interviews with current and former staff — including journalists at the very top. Speaking out for the first time since leaving the Corporation, Fran Unsworth, the former director of BBC News, reveals in an explosive interview: “I would actually say it drove me out, just dealing with the progressive editorial issues and the bullying around them all. It was incredibly difficult.” Read more below ⬇️ buff.ly/7Fv4Ry8

Every party except Labor and the Greens has now agreed to change the federal Sex Discrimination Act to protect women’s-only spaces. If Labor and Greens don’t want to lose large numbers of seats at the 2028 election, change your stupid extremist gender policies now.

@salltweets @NuriaCruzCruz Look at Nicola Sturgeon’s ‘Isla Bryson’ stumble or Lia Thomas in the US or Khalif in the Olympics. If this is Australia’s WTAF moment it might turn out to be the best outcome in the long run. You’ve shown the logical outcome of calling any man ‘she’.

Senator the Hon. Michaelia Cash
STATEMENT BY @AngusTaylorMP Yesterday the Full Federal Court confirmed that Australian law does not properly protect single sex spaces for women and girls. Most Australians would find that hard to believe. A coalition government I lead will fix this. We will amend the Sex Discrimination Act to ensure that women and girls (and men and boys) have protections based on biological sex. We will define biological sex in the Act. Male or female. The sex you are born. And we will protect single-sex spaces across Australian life. This is not radical. It is common sense. Let me be clear about what this is not. This is not about targeting transgender Australians. Every protection they currently have remains. We are not removing a single protection from anyone. But we are recognising something that should never have been in doubt: biological sex is real, it matters, and women and girls deserve spaces where it is respected. This will be a first-term priority. The Prime Minister now has a simple question to answer. Does he believe women and girls deserve protections based on biological sex?

Politicians could fix this issue - for free - in a sitting week. An amendment to the sex discrimination act to reinstate the correct definitions of woman & man, plus clarifying that the ordinary meaning of sex is biological, would fix this issue. The choice is simple: fall behind the rest of the world while becoming an ideological laughing stock, or crossing party lines to fix bad legislation & ensure no more Australian citizens are punished for acknowledging reality. Any politician who says this issue is too difficult to fix is either malicious or incompetent.

‘Court upholds discrimination ruling on appeal after transgender woman excluded from Giggle for Girls app’ It’s the biggest story for women’s rights in a century - the fact that women have no separate and distinguishable rights, at all, in Australia - and for @abcnews to acknowledge this, it would have to describe Tickle as a man. But ABC has never expressed editorial outrage about the restrictions it perceives on its ability accurately to report the gender identity scandal, so it won’t start now - it can’t relay the breathtaking scale of this disaster for women, because it doesn’t have the words for it any more. abc.net.au/news/2026-05-1…

@SeekingGrace21 @UNSRVAW @MidnightQuolls We have to exhaust all legal avenues in Australia first. If Sall isn’t granted permission to appeal or if her appeal, once granted, loses in the High Court of Australia, then we could make an international complaint. Australia needs to thoroughly embarrass itself a bit longer.

@UNSRVAW @MidnightQuolls Can we not bring a complaint to the UN under CEDAW and compel them to recognise sex and its relationship to women's rights? Why is it that we can't use this instrument?

Every word of this 👇🏼 The law in its current form must be repealed. The original objective of the law and meaning of the word “sex” in the Sex Discrimination Act must be restored. Otherwise the serious erosion of rights and protections of #women in #Australia in law and policies will continue.
Stephanie Bastiaan@stephbastiaan

The Full Federal Court has handed down its judgement in Giggle v Tickle. In a shock to women across the country - Sall Grover not only lost her appeal, the Court set aside the original finding of indirect discrimination and replaced it with direct discrimination, upholding Tickle's cross-appeal. The damages were doubled from $10,000 to $20,000. It’s important to note the Court expressly said it was only applying the Sex Discrimination Act as it is written- it is "not empowered to give effect to its own view" about whether that law is desirable. In 2013, @JuliaGillard’s @AustralianLabor government amended the Sex Discrimination Act- stripping the meaning out of "man" and "woman" and adding gender identity as a protected attribute to be pitted against biological sex. Today's outcome is proof of what those amendments have done: women are left with no meaningful rights or recognition under the Sex Discrimination Act - a bitter irony, given that protecting women was the very purpose of the Act under our commitment to CEDAW. In my opinion, this is a verdict on the law, not on Sall. The judges found that the law - as that government amended it - left them no other conclusion. These amendments must be repealed. The Sex Discrimination Act must once again recognise biological reality and protect women's right to single-sex spaces. What a dark and devastating day for Australian women and girls. #RepealTheSDA2013 #IStandWithSallGrover #GigglevTickle #Auspol

Me too @osteo50 Anyone who follows me knows of my trenchant views about gender ideology. But as bad as things have been, today I felt something shift. This decision has switched on a cold, implacable and unyielding rage. We have been pushed too far. Every woman and girl in Australia has today, effectively been told to sit in the back of the bus. No more.

Today’s ruling on Tickle v Giggle shows what I’ve known for some time: the Sex Discrimination Act no longer protects the rights of women and girls to their own spaces, services and sports. My Save Women’s Sports Bill 2022 went some of the way to fix this, but the decision today makes clear that more must be done to ensure women’s and girls’ fairness, dignity, and safety are guaranteed at law. I commend the incredible @salltweets for her brave fight - she’s an absolute champion.

The fight to restore women’s sex class rights has to become political. Don’t vote for any candidate who won’t put their hand up in parliament to repeal the 2013 amendments to the Sex Discrimination Act that allowed men into women’s-only spaces.
