I canvassed in a swing district in PA. One house was a big, burly Worker Man who looked like he just got off the construction site. He told me he was undecided but had been leaning Kamala. Until he saw Tyler Austin Harper's tweet pointing out that she had never even promised not to send Our Boys 'to die in another pointless fucking war in the Middle East'.
Tears welled up in his eyes and he said, 'I have no choice but to vote for Trump now. And also, it's time to Abolish Neoliberalism.'
Politically engaged people really underestimate how much low-information swing voters work off vibes (that confirm all of my biases).

I canvassed an 80 year old woman in Arizona who said she wasn’t voting for Kamala because she “didn’t want me to get drafted.” The hawkish rhetoric and signals like campaigning with Cheney did NOT help Harris.

@kylegriffin1 The Virginia State Supreme Court invalidated the map purely on state constitutional grounds, that is generally unreviewable by SCOTUS. State courts are the final authority on their own constitutions.

Sorry, but in my view it’s not grade inflation that prevents students from taking educational risks, it’s the bad job market they’re graduating into and the massive student debt burden they carry. Harsh grading isn’t going to make students more adventurous—a better economy for young people and more affordable college education will.
