@AffinityWater The email we received from you regarding the hosepipe ban states it comes into effect on Friday 17th, however your website now states it started “with immediate effect” when the decision was made on Friday 10th, so which is it?

The #M25 is closed J28 #Brentwood & J27 #Epping due to a HGV fire following a traffic collision. All emergency services heading to scene. This is a separate incident to an earlier HGV fire between J27 and J26. No delays on the approach to J28 anticlockwise.

@PBalban @GibraltarGov GMT doesn’t change. The UK goes from GMT to BST (which is GMT+1), Gibraltar goes from CET (GMT+1) to CEST (GMT+2). Happens every year, not that difficult.

@GibraltarGov DOUBLE Summer Time, 2 hours forward? For an hour until GMT catches up with us an hour later? Or 2 hours ahead of GMT, that is that we go forward 2 hours at 0200h? 🤔

@Tesco wanted to purchase 2 of these but only had 1 in stock at your Hemel Hempstead store. Left it as thought I’d be able to purchase online but can’t find them anywhere. Do you sell these online, if so where, or if not how do I check stock at other stores?

@monzo So for the £10k, “You’ll need to have £667.95 (excluding interest) in your Challenge Pot at 11:59pm on the 365th day of your challenge.” - After that time I can withdraw the money & close the pot and still be entered into the draw even though the draw isn’t until 2nd Feb?

@YourAverageBen Hi Ben 👋 For the £100 prize draw you'll need to have been fully caught up on your daily savings by the end of the month to be included in the draw. For details on the £10 K prize draw, see our website here: monzo.com/help/1p-saving…

@monzo When I reach the end of my 2025 1p savings challenge & have the required amount for the prize draw, can it withdraw the money from that pot or do I need to leave it in there until the draw on 2nd Feb?

@monzo My Bills Pot I used to be able to set my ‘trends’ etc to track 4-weekly rather than just monthly. I get paid 4-weekly so having my “left to pay” amount match my paydays was helpful. It seems this now isn’t an option & you can only set it to a fixed date each month. Why?

@British_Airways Are there problems with your website & app at the moment? Everything taking ages to even load up or just crashing? Have tried multiple devices, other sites are fine.

@ravroberts @MartinSLewis Entirely depends on your career plans & the industry it’s in I guess. It’s a massive financial commitment just for a slightly better piece of paper but still without any guarantee of a return.

Today's Poll: Graduates, do you FEEL your earnings are likely higher (after student loan repayments) because you went to Uni than they would've been if you'd not gone?

@ravroberts @MartinSLewis Not even sure the piece of paper helps in most cases anymore tbh, doubt most people have ever had to show it. Sure, if you do a vocational degree for a specific career (doctor, engineer, lawyer etc) then absolutely uni is for you but if not I’d save the money and go another route

@NorthBritannia @NicholasTyrone We don’t have birthright citizenship in the UK. Automatically acquiring British citizenship at birth is decided by your parents’ citizenship, not where you are born. “Full” British Citizenship isn’t a thing, there is no ‘half’-citizenship, you’re either a citizen or not.

@NicholasTyrone My opinion, I don’t think anyone who wasn’t born in U.K. who doesn’t hold full British citizenship should be able to hold public office. We are seeing more MPs elected who never talk about this country, Same on local level.

Had a guy on here at me saying that only people born in the UK should be allowed to be elected officials - and that Boris Johnson should be PM again. Spot the problem there.

@MartinSLewis Difficult. Don’t think my degree subject impacted directly. I don’t work in the same field or even a graduate job, but uni in general got me a) the social skills/confidence to go after jobs & take risks, and b) got me out of my hometown to access higher wages & a different life.

@BBCNewsnight This is a Private Members Bill, it’s been brought forward by an individual, not proposed by the Government and was a ‘free vote’, not whipped by either side of the House. I’m all for calling out the Government but this wasn’t their doing.

“I’m shocked a Labour government would do this…and make this one of the first things they do.” “Do you blame the Prime Minister for that?” “Of course…” Christian Fraser speaks to actor and campaigner Liz Carr in the moments after MPs backed proposals to legalise assisted dying.

Good night and goodbye to Paris. Loved the Games, but home to the dogs now. And perhaps also to buy a floating piano.

@scottygb Opening & closing ceremonies were remarkably dull this year! Opening I just put down to taste, not for me & missing the usual buzz. The Closing 😴 what a drag! Seemed to go on forever with nothing really happening. Feel for those who paid to be there, promised a party & got that!
