Brahma has been acquired by @Polymarket. We started @BrahmaFi in late 2021 with a simple bet: crypto infrastructure was too complex for the people who stood to benefit from it most. Over four years we built vaults, smart accounts, automated execution, and a full payment settlement stack connecting crypto to credit cards. All trying to close the gap between what DeFi could do and what users could actually use. It wasn't always smooth, but we shipped through every cycle and came out the other side with something we're proud of. It started with a late night ping from @allquantor: "get on the phone, Shayne wants to talk to you guys." One call turned into many. Polymarket is scaling fast and building products that need the exact kind of infrastructure thinking we'd spent four years developing at Brahma. That overlap was obvious from day one. Prediction markets are the clearest example of a crypto-native product going mainstream, and the ambition is to take that much further. New market categories, new product surfaces, mainstream audiences. That's exactly the kind of problem my co-founders @kakujain, @BapireddyK and I want to focus on next. 0/ A personal update I have decided to step back from @multicoin. It's a bittersweet moment for me because my time at Multicoin has been some of the most meaningful and rewarding of my life. That said, I am excited to take some time off and explore new areas of technology. After nearly a decade in crypto, I’m more confident than ever that crypto is going to fundamentally rewire the circuitry of finance. I believe the Clarity Act will unlock a tidal wave of new entrants and spur adoption unlike anything we’ve seen. I remain bullish on crypto, specifically Solana, and intend to continue making personal investments in the space and supporting Multicoin portfolio companies. A rather remarkable decision by @aztecnetwork to issue a legal memo analyzing the token’s legal implications in four different jurisdictions. The sort of thing that the @SECGov used to say ‘thank you this will be a wonderful “Exhibit 1” in our enforcement case.’ I’ve yet to review in depth but it seems carefully done and persuasive on initial review. How times have changed for the better if stuff like this becomes the norm - for no other reason than the tokens that people issue will actually be network-useful (it’s pretty critical for the substantive analysis).
