We literally had Uber drivers driving around with Kevlar shields in their cars to protect themselves from violent criminals. The @councilofdc called it “not a crime crisis.” Now that crime is finally dropping, they’re angry about it. You can’t make this up.

How can anyone be angry about this?

@maustermuhle Nice way to complain about something that’s a positive for the city. This is why democrats are losing. If you complain about everything it all just becomes noise. Pick your battles.

What's interesting about this, of course, is what it will ultimately cost the federal government to put National Guardsmen to work picking up trash, painting benches, and doing other related tasks. Couldn't unarmed locals have been hired to do the work for less money?

@DCAttorneyGen If your policies are “data-driven,” then the data shows failure—repeat offenders cycling through (incl. the kids who carjacked my husband) while victims are ignored and disregarded. DC families and businesses deserve accountability, not ideological excuses dressed up as stats.

@BarrasReport Public safety is a choice, and the council and city leaders have chosen to cater to crazed activists instead of properly staffing the police or putting in place laws to hold people accountable.

No American who believes in & cherishes democracy should think of what DJT is doing as a takeover of DC's police. He has affected the first stage of a national military coup, replete with armed National Guards. It's time for citizens, who care & who can, to move into the streets
