This academic year I’ve been running 2 theology reading groups at church. Our intermediate group just finished our meeting for The Divine Missions by @adividu. It has been great seeing congregants find devotional development via rich theology! Now, on to Anselm!

Astrobiology & Christian Doctrine, Andrew Davison. Davison is Regius Professor at Oxford. Half survey and half weigh-in on recent works, but the thesis is that lots of other longstanding subsidiary theological issues provide all the answers we need for these questions.

One of my favorite questions to ask at the end of each year: What was your favorite fiction read of 2025? Given that our family moved states this year and had much transition, I only got through nine fiction books this year but here they are.

This Thomistic conference on predestination at Dominican House of Studies has been fabulous. Dominic Legge, Thomas Osborne, Mats Wahlberg, and others. A privilege to be part of this event. I especially appreciated Cajetan Cuddy’s lecture where he shows why predestination is key to the Thomistic synthesis, and with some help from Garrigou-Lagrange. I can’t help but think there is so much potential for future conversations on this topic between Dominicans and Protestants. @ThomisticInst

Conference started w a @CredoMagazine event with Adonis Vidnu and Lewis Ayers discussion: given inseparable operations, in what way can we be said to experience the Trinity in our worship? Very helpful session, and Ayers had loads of advice for preaching the Trinity.

Just got back from ETS, and I don't know if the conference has gotten better or if I've just got better at choosing sessions, but I loved loved loved this conference. Here is why:

This past Monday, I gave the third annual lecture of the Center for Classical Theology. It was a delight to engage with @MattMBarrett and Lewis Ayres. The lecture explored the nature of the Christian experience of the Trinity and it will be published by @crossway.
