Several people reportedly sustained injuries. The AIDI-Livestock project was launched in Dodoma, Tanzania today. Vibrant participation by USAID-Tz, @ILRI partners from @Venture37, @CIMMYT, TALIRI, Silverland Ltd &  Interchick Ltd. Focus on private sector led women- and youth-focus delivery of improved chicken breeds.

Pastoralism is not going anywhere. It is the most productive and sustainable use of our rangelands, actually beats Australian cattle stations by a margin. . Thats why it endures even with marginalisation, zero investment and insecurity. Here is some data twitter.com/Kimuhuy/status…

@DavidNdii No one has denied Pastoralism while it lasts is lucrative but with global warming free range livestock grazing is NOT sustainable. Land(not dry one) is becoming a ltd resource. 1 Cow needs 3 to 5 acres per yr to graze, not sustainable
