🚨 Where are the Singapore Airlines Saver and Promo awards? Ok, let's even forget the 30% off spontaneous escapes awards. There are very few saver awards available. And fewer promo awards. Mostly it is all advantage and the useless access fares.

Saver, Advantage were directly waitlisted, only Access fares were made available. Across classes, not just Economy. God knows when they will open Saver.

Every city, an upcoming South Asian label meets at the show me and dresses me, gets paid, photographed, promoted in their town, and their clothes back. NO check in, NO baggage claim. This is basically underwear, sweater, thermals, workout clothes. Off we go!

Wonder if this applies to a paid discount voucher - like paying 20k for a guaranteed discounted price on a tour package?

I was gifted a “gift” card by Taneira( Tata brand) for being featured in their adverts. Covid, work commitments and moving out of the country meant - I couldn’t use the gift card on time. This time in Bangalore, I went to their shop in Indiranagar who were the first of the outlets that the brand had launched. The photo shoot had taken place in their beautiful premises. I wanted to use the gift card. It’s a token amount but for me it has meant to be an ardent admirer and an advocate for the brand. But sadly, the staff now who work at the brand stores are just people with no EQ whatsoever; and without any inclination to go out of their way. They declined saying this card expired within 180 days of issue and my point- there is no date of issuance on the card nor did anyone tell me that this a time bound offer. Their answer- from the date you received it- which is also arbitrary. This arrogance is not good. Neither for the franchise nor for the overall Tata brand. When a brand cannot even take a high moral ground and resorts to pettiness, it indicates a rot in the culture. PS- the gift card was only for 3000 rs and the average cost of their saree is 50,000 rs.

@airindia @kartikmurali I was once offered Rs. 300 by Air India for tearing a brand new soft case. I even shared the bill. Even that amount was offered as an exception, because the damage was quoted as "regular wear and tear" and not their fault.

Accor points for points stay? My last three Accor stays are interesting. All three paid by points with some cash component. 1️⃣ Earned full points! 2️⃣ Earned points only for the cash portion 3️⃣ Earned nothing This is random and property dependent (perhaps even front office associate who handles your checkin/checkout). As per terms we are eligle to earn points only on booking fully with cash (not even cash+points). Previously we used to get points for almost all stays even paid with points but slowly they are catching up and we might get points as per policy and terms. How is your experience?

🚨 Booked 14 award flight seats! Took over 2 hours to do them all. 🙏 Across multiple airline programs, transfers between partners, transfer between accounts, buying (top off) a few miles, initial choice of flight unavailable (but got a slightly better one anyway), calling airlines to check… phew! And still there is another 7 more to do. 🥹 I will post again on what I had booked later. 😜
