I hold vastly more BTC than I do gold. And I used to hold gold reluctantly as a hedge for BTC not working out. But as uncertainty around quantum, AI, etc. rises, I do think analog bearer money with low inflation and no counter-party risk is a good hold. This could be seen as optimistic or pessimistic. The optimist believes we will succeed so fast that it could endanger digital infrastructure in unpredictable ways - in which case you want an analog hedge. The pessimist is sure that AI & Quantum will break everything and only physical wealth will be left. Both will buy gold.
