I'm convinced that if Calvinists were, one, even a bit objective, and two, studied pottery, they'd leave Calvinism immediately. Imagine knowing nothing about pottery or the Bible and speaking as if you are an expert on it while extremely ignorant? This happens all the time.

I was also taught to study for myself and continued. Then I found out that I didn't know everything. And saw things

@1LLoyd24 @1984_nate Notice you studied to agree with the points. You had to know the points before you could study to "find" them. If you want to be a Calvinist, go for it; but don't act like it's some natural pathway through the Bible. It's a distortion of every proof-text they use.

@1984_nate My transition to Calvinism was one of, frankly decades of study, that led me to agree with the points of calvinism. I have noticed that most of what people disagree with takes deep dives into the scripture to understand. The potter verses don't figure in my journey.

When you are a pastoral intern, run a business, do prison ministry, preach, run a YouTube channel, raise a 4 year old, 2 year old, and 10 month old, have to study for your MDiv classes, and counsel and disciple congregants, you have to be selective.
