Update/Advisory, March 16, 2026, 1800 hrs ·         About 1100 Indian passengers travelled to New Delhi, Mumbai, Kochi and other destinations on Qatar Airways flights on March 16. Flights to these destinations are also planned for March 17. ·         Qatar Airways has announced that it will be operating flights to the following destinations in India from March 18 - Ahmedabad, Amritsar, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kochi, Kozhikode and Mumbai. ·         Qatar Airways and local authorities have directed that to book flights and for the latest flight updates, passengers can visit the Qatar Airways website or App, or contact a travel agent. ·         In view of the enhanced flight availability on Qatar Airways and the local guidelines, the Embassy will be shortly closing the registration link for transit/short-term visitors wishing to travel back to India on Qatar Airways flights. Passengers are advised to further liaise directly with Qatar Airways for their travel arrangements. ·         Embassy of India continues facilitation of temporary transit visas for Saudi Arabia for Indian nationals stranded in Qatar on short-term visits if they wish to travel to India through Saudi Arabia. During the visit, a detailed presentation was made on the integrated Command and Control Centre, which enables real-time monitoring of the entire electronic city and supports efficient data collection, coordination, and management of services. Key discussions during the meeting focused on potential collaboration and knowledge exchange. The Electronics City Industrial Township Authority (ELCITA) team will undertake financial modelling within one month and present two to three possible implementation models along with detailed execution plans. Established in 2013, the Electronics City Industrial Township Authority (ELCITA) was envisioned as a modern industrial township designed on the lines of a futuristic smart city. Spread across an area of 903 acres, the township features well-planned infrastructure and civic amenities, making it a model for the development of future industrial townships. Update/Advisory, 1600 hrs, March 11, 2026 More than 500 Indians stranded in Qatar travelled to New Delhi and other destinations on Qatar Airways flights on March 11. Qatar Airways is scheduled to operate two flights (one each to New Delhi and Mumbai) to India on March 12. The three 24/7 helplines of Embassy of India continue to be available for Indian community to raise any query. Embassy has been giving special attention to quick issuance of passports for Indian nationals. Due to the current situation we are open on all days of the week for taking passport applications. Tatkal passports are being issued within 1–2 days. Please handle alerts and warning messages issued by official channels seriously and follow necessary guidelines. Everyone is advised against approaching any unidentified objects, debris, or fragments. Please report them immediately by calling 999.
