Over time, a lot of crypto natives seem to forget that the goal of investing is to increase your quality of life - not to put your life on pause until you "make it". "Making it" is different for everyone, but the common path that people try to follow is: hit some arbitrary portfolio goal, cash out, buy all the things they've dreamed of having, and then finally start "living". The problem with this strategy is before you know it, 5 years have passed, you've rotted your brain from spending every day doomscrolling CT and watching charts, you've sacrificed lots of time doing nothing important and your mental health is on the floor. And by the time you eventually cash out, you most likely didn't hit the arbitrary portfolio goal that you set and this actually makes you even more upset. Then you realise how much time you wasted trying to hit an arbitrary goal and you start spiraling with regret. Money can free up your time, but it cannot buy you more time. There's no point wasting your time waiting to hit some portfolio goal if that becomes your whole life. You need to live outside of your bags. You need to appreciate life outside of money. So get busy living, my friends.
