Visibly taken aback, McCuaig-Johnston said: “I work closely with Human Rights Watch, where researchers did witness it.”
Ma spoke over her, saying “so did you get that from hearsay” — and ended with a curt “Thank you.”
The technique — demanding that a witness confirm personal firsthand observation of an atrocity as a threshold condition for the credibility of documented evidence — is not a standard of proof applied in any parliamentary inquiry or human rights investigative framework. Human Rights Watch, the United Nations, the United States government, and multiple allied democracies have each independently documented the forced labour system in Xinjiang through researcher testimony, satellite imagery, leaked internal documents, and survivor accounts.

@bsilly3 @Nickolasharvey9 @RazorOil @grok I mean - Secretary Chris Wright drank fracking fluid in 2019 to prove a point. He's one of us.

Some of you have been following me for a long time, and I really appreciate it. As you know, I’ve been following the oil markets for many years and, although far from perfect, I’ve made some good calls along the way. In my view, this is the current situation: Trump likely thinks oil is a homogeneous molecule and probably doesn’t understand hydrocarbon partitioning, chain utilization, allocation to products, material balance, or the fact that it simply isn’t closing. In my opinion, he can’t back away now—his legacy is too important to him and to Bibi. Any TACO scenario here would not only damage Trump’s reputation but also wouldn’t guarantee that Iran stops hijacking ships and disrupting flow through the Strait. Another important angle is that the Arab Gulf countries simply won’t be able to accept this reality or any continuation of the current status quo going forward. Therefore, I think there will be no TACO, and instead we’ll see US boots on the islands in an attempt to secure the energy markets. Trump doesn’t want to do it, but unfortunately, soon enough he will realize that what he didn’t understand in his science class will quickly translate into world leaders pressuring him to take action... 🫡🪒

@adamoliver09 @Nickolasharvey9 @RazorOil @grok You'd think he'd have been briefed but honestly nobody understands it outside the industry.
Leaders in the energy administration have largely been reduced to parroting climate & energy transition talking points.
English

@adamoliver09 @Nickolasharvey9 @RazorOil @grok Not ignoring it, just not understanding that there are many different types and they are not created equal.
Light oil, which the U.S. has in abundance cannot replace heavy oil, which is needed for many products, for instance.

@Natie2Natie @Harry__Faulkner I do remember Iraq. And that Canada did not participate.
Generally though - Canada wrong, CCP right is the position of a cucked out tankie.
I also remember the Tiannenmen Square Massacre in June 1989. But I suppose that is heresay too.
English

@bsilly3 @Harry__Faulkner Canada votes “genocide” based on lobby group hearsay.
Remember Iraq? Canada secretly backed an illegal war—knowing there were no WMDs.
Spare us the human rights lecture. 😂
Shameful politicians.

WATCH: Hong Kong-born Canadian MP Michael Ma tells a career civil servant that claims of forced labour in Xinjiang, China, are "hearsay" and blatantly defends the CCP.
Ma: Have you witnessed forced labour in Xinjiang? Yes or no?
Witness: I work closely with Human Rights Watch, where researchers did witness it.

When you hire consultants to run your country.
QuickDickMcDick 🇨🇦@QuickDickMcDick
Funny what you can do when you start including the cost of planting trees on military bases and shuffling an unarmed Coast Guard from Oceans & Fisheries to the DND. I should hire the feds as my accountants and CTV News to run cover for me if I get audited.

@mrdruthers A construction company I know puts a lot of guys on permanent retainer just to keep them from going elsewhere & to be able to bring them in for key operations/training.
English

@mrdruthers That is the lost opportunity.
They are going to be pulling you guys out of retirement for big $.

@WiretapMediaCa His own party voted unanimously to condemn the treatment of Uyghur population as 'genocide'.
He's literally taking a pro-CCP position against the unanimous position of Canadian parliament.

This is what foreign interference looks like, CSIS.

@PATCHnHrd @batman10023 @nejatian It's almost like they are counting on it.
I think as long as they think they can win a majority without it, that's the way it goes.

Canada needs to build a pipeline. Fast.
When the West faced an old shortage during World War II, the US built the Big Inch Pipeline. 1,200 miles of pipeline built in months.
Crews laid 9 miles per day of pipeline - with 1942 technology.
Northern Gateway has been in review since 2006 (20+ years). Northern Gateway is about half the length of Big Inch. We have much better technology than we used to.
Let's just build!
English

@Natie2Natie @Harry__Faulkner That's kind of a weird talking point, given that his own party voted unanimously to declare China's treatment of Uyghur population a "genocide".
English

@Harry__Faulkner Firsthand witness? NO.
Ever been to Xinjiang? NO.
Evidence? Just a name‑drop of a US‑based NGO.
This is the PROOF!
An official who saw nothing, citing an organization bankrolled by the US State Department and Western governments.
Let this sink in! 😂

@RaquelDancho The entire system relies dual class citizenry (hokou) which formally creates an economic subclass of rural migrant workers to power factories.
English

@batman10023 @PATCHnHrd @nejatian It would require radical and aggressive regulatory change, like yesterday.
The current crew just doesn't have it in their makeup.
