@magyarpeterMP @PM_ViktorOrban I'm not in Hungary but from what I hear in the United States you're going to lose without massive amounts of fraud by the EU against Orban

This is the end. A world built on lies has shattered. Hungarian intelligence services, acting on the orders of @PM_ViktorOrban and his inner circle, have worked against the TISZA party, which is preparing for a change of government. This affair, the "Orbán-gate", recalls the darkest days of communism and is even more serious than the Watergate scandal, which brought down Richard Nixon. Let it be clear: what has been revealed today in the investigative report by @direkt36, published by @Telexhu, crosses every line. It amounts to an attempted coup against Hungary. Under a TISZA government, both political appointees and the leaders of the intelligence services will be held accountable before the Hungarian justice system. I understand the responsibility, and I promise that we will carry out the will of millions of Hungarians, we will take our country back. In 19 days, the will of the Hungarian people will defeat the regime built on fear.

USA wants three new military facilities in Greenland The United States is quietly negotiating with Denmark to gain access to three additional defense areas in Greenland—beyond Pituffik Space Base (formerly Thule Air Base) in northern Greenland. This was stated by General Gregory Guillot, commander of United States Northern Command, during a Senate hearing in Washington on Thursday, March 19. At the same time, the American top general described Denmark and Greenland as “highly cooperative,” saying that all U.S. requests are being accommodated and that everything can be handled within the existing 1951 defense agreement between Denmark and the United States. According to General Guillot, there are “three defense areas that we would like to negotiate with Denmark and Greenland about.” Possible locations Marc Jacobsen, a lecturer at the Royal Danish Defence College, said the general’s remarks indicate strong communication between senior military officials in Denmark and the U.S.: “That is positive for Denmark.” The Senate hearing did not specify which areas are being considered, but Jacobsen suggests three likely candidates: —Narsarsuaq in southern Greenland, which has a deep-water port —Kangerlussuaq in southwestern Greenland, capable of handling large aircraft —A deep-water port near Pituffik Space Base These locations are notable because they were among the first places where the U.S. established military bases in Greenland. @Dennis_Gregorio @CossieRob @ChrisO_wiki "Temporary" in this case equals seemingly ongoing until Trump walks away. The economic disruption is already significant and baked in. If it continues its going to be catastrophic. And Iran has a new leadership and the IRGC seems still firmly in control.

@burnerstreaming @CossieRob @ChrisO_wiki A temporary disruption of the Strait of Hormuz in a war where the US and Israel have been mercilessly pummeling Iran’s military infrastructure with thousands of Sorties, eliminating its leadership, and the only aircraft lost were accidentally shot down by an ally or crashed?

@burnerstreaming @CossieRob @ChrisO_wiki I’m still baffled that some think this is a “cockup”. Nobody thought Iran wasn’t going to try and strike back. And its retaliation isn’t particularly impressive given the number of missiles and drones they possesed. They’re getting their asses kicked in.

@Dennis_Gregorio @CossieRob @ChrisO_wiki Yeah, I think they'd love a nuclear weapon. They'll have seen what's happened to North Korea and want that security. But they know it's a sliding scale. They were prepared to at least pause their progress in return for limiting sanctions. I suspect all bets are off now... 1/2

@trevposts Demonstrating you are worse at math than an LLM isn’t a convincing argument that LLMs are good at math. It’s simply an embarrassing thing for you to brag about.

I did the math a couple weeks ago and it turns out a vegan prompting a frontier LLM *every second, 24/7* consumes less water than the average omnivore who never uses AI.
mary@theoceanblooms

people are trying to argue with this and it’s literally the truth. a kilogram of beef requires over 15,000 litres of water to produce. a vegan who uses chatgpt every day is living a more sustainable lifestyle than someone who regularly eats beef while boycotting AI.

@Dennis_Gregorio @CossieRob @ChrisO_wiki So determined that theyve had the technology and stockpile available for well over a decade and haven't done so *yet* and during that time signed up to a deal to limit their ability to do so. This isn't to defend Iran, I think the regime is despicable... 1/2

@Dennis_Gregorio @CossieRob @ChrisO_wiki ...except that now Iran will be more determined than ever to get a nuclear weapon because it now knows that the US and Israel will attempt to bomb it in to oblivion/ regime change if it hasnt got a working deterrent 2/2

@Dennis_Gregorio @CossieRob @ChrisO_wiki The issue isn't what's destroyed and what's not destroyed, it's what can be built in 1 yr, 2 yrs or 3 yrs etc. If the IRGC are still in control and there isnt a water tight deal, (and Trump's not a details man), then at some point we're back to where we were 12 mths ago... 1/2

Here's Keir Starmer's response to the many, many jibes that have been levelled at him by Donald Trump, from saying he's no Winston Churchill to mocking him with Saturday Night Live clip He sees it all as an attempt to put pressure on him and insists he won't back down 'A lot of what is said or done is undoubtedly said and done to put pressure on me, I have no doubt about that. I understand what is going on. 'But I am not going to wavering on this. I am the British Prime Minister and my job is to be absolutely focused on what is in the British national interest'

Today in Florida, delegations from the United States and Ukraine reconvened for a second day of discussions as part of the ongoing, US-led mediation efforts toward establishing a lasting and comprehensive peace agreement to the war. The constructive talks built on yesterday’s progress and focused on key points to define a durable and dependable security framework for Ukraine, as well as critical humanitarian efforts in the region. The U.S. delegation included Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, Jared Kushner, and White House Senior Advisor Josh Gruenbaum, while the Ukrainian delegation included Rustem Umerov, Kyrylo Budanov, Davyd Arakhamia, and Serhii Kyslytsia. We remain encouraged by the continued, substantive engagement and thank @POTUS for his steadfast leadership in advancing these efforts.
