The president is right. The 14th Amendment was originally intended to embrace slaves and the children of slaves. Its passage in 1868, made it unconstitutional to deny citizenship to all children born here. But the bombing has been effective at neutralizing Iran as a threat to the region. They aren't done. As far as those objectives, it's been an extraordinary success. The problem is that with this regime, you'll have to deal with again in a few years and it's unlikely we'll have more political will to do anything about it. So us leaving early is a major concern. We might not be able to stop this regime from eventually nuking Israel if we leave. But as far as succeeding at the objective of obliterating their military-industrial threat and limiting the harm they can do to our allies over the next few years, it has gone well with very few losses. Historically unprecedented in that respect.

This is extremely concerning. The Pentagon isn't being upfront and honest about what's happening.

You never want to go full resistance. Trump is not a good president. We should not repeat this after 2028. But in the history of the world, most political leaders have been worse than Trump. And yet there were still common goods that required their leadership to facilitate (e.g. peace/order). We can't wait for another president to get important things done. And on Iran, something very important is being done.
