Spotify needs to release a “kids” setting so I can play all the songs my kids listen to without it affecting my own Discovery algorithm.
Insane that I can’t do this already.
My Discover Weekly is just nursery songs and Moana.
@Spotify please fix this.

@centraltxdad @garyblack00 I was under the impression that he is waiting for the brain to get smarter which is V15 for mass deployment

@edgecase411 @ResumeGamingYT @JonBbC_TechGeek Financially, it makes wayyyyy more sense for them to offer lifetime (one-time) FSD transfers for HW3 owners than to do the camera/CPU swap.
English

@ResumeGamingYT @JonBbC_TechGeek That would be unfortunate. At the minimum should keep indefinite free FSD transfer for all hw3 vehicles. I think an additional discount would be a nice bonus but not necessary. Elon always answers these questions ambiguously lol
English

@ClaudeNaggar @garyblack00 I didn't hear that mass rollout was dependent on AI5. Elon reiterated that it's slated for Optimus and datacenter. He said they'll release HW4.1 mid-2027; but is confident HW4 is sufficient for unsupervised (mass rollout).
English

@garyblack00 Correct me if I’m wrong, but if mass Robotaxi rollout is dependent on the AI-5 chip, aren't we looking at a delay of over 18 months? High-volume production for that hardware isn't slated until mid-to-late 2027.
English

@wholemars @patel_sanmukh Immediately following 2026.8.3 I started getting very minor, but consistent ping-ponging left/right on clearly marked roads. Other than that, following distance (highway and city streets) is much improved and there seems to be greater intelligence.
English

Retrofits may or may not ever be needed. I think they will likely do it because it will ultimately be easier than wasting time trying to distill smaller models.
But they only have to upgrade when HW4 is unsupervised on customer cars and HW3 is not. Right now the feature set is almost exactly the same. HW4 just works much better since it’s on V14, but HW3 will get V14 this summer too.
Luís Pereira@lmrpereira
@wholemars 14 Lite .... smart way to avoid retrofits

@NotATeslaApp "No YOU clear the dirt & debris from the cameras Tesla"...My 6 year old said yesterday "Why don't they blast air over the camera?..." If a 6 year old had that idea...??

@teslascope Got 8.6 this past week. Very consistently ping-ponging on straight, clearly marked roads. It's very slight, but enough to induce motion sickness. I think it needs more polish before going wide again.
English

@JacobFournierr @koby_pierce Exactly my experience as well. Also got a random Red Hands / FSD restart on an easy road.
English

@koby_pierce I agree! My FSD was working flawlessly for the last few months. I even rebooted and did a camera recalibration to see if it fixed it. I unfortunately haven't been able to use it because the ping ponging at high speeds makes for a very weird driving experience lol.
English

THIS IS THE BIGGEST HW3 update we’ve had in MONTHS.
2026.8.6 is not one build. From what I’ve seen across multiple cars, there appear to be 3 variants: 2026.8.6-A, B, and C.
My car is on A, and it feels significantly improved. I’m doing 10+ hours of testing tomorrow to learn more.
Here are a few confirmed changes:
- Reduced Vision Monitoring (seen in A, B, and C)
- Improvements to lane selection (A)
- Overall smoothness improvement (A)
- Roughly 15 to 25% latency reduction (A)
- Matches Tentacle Speed to AI4 (the future prediction blue line is smoother and reacts faster, seems to be on A, potentially C as well)
- MAJORLY improved “off-road” performance (more confident starting on rock or grass and finding the road without accelerator presses)
- Obstacle avoidance improvements
Let me know if any of you experience these as well, and check your service mode for your Bank A, B, Trip Weights and AP weights, make sure to leave them in your comment.

English

@JacobFournierr @koby_pierce Same experience for me. Wild ping-ponging on the highway. I re-calibrated cameras and it didn't help at all.
English

@koby_pierce Mine is significantly worse. Blatantly ignoring navigation and ping ponging in the lane.
English

FSD 14.3 is in testing now, with wide release in a few weeks!
Elon Musk@elonmusk
@DBurkland @pbeisel It’s in testing right now. Wide release in a few weeks.
English

@JonBbC_TechGeek Honestly why I haven't been in a rush to upgrade to a HW4 car...seems like it's reached a local maximum and HW5 is necessary for the next big leap in perf.
English

Mike’s experience lines up with mine.
He’s right.
Generally speaking, HW3 FSD is extremely comparable to HW4 FSD except for start and finish.
Mike Abrams@MikeRadio
@JonBbC_TechGeek When I had a loaner with HW3 I was so impressed with it. As far as the normal driving, it was just as good as HW4 and the latest version. It just lacked some of the new features that HW4 has but as far as the FSD itself, it was great.

after this, I will shut up. just please:
put yourself in the shoes of a customer that:
- bought Model S/X in 2022/2023 (~$140k for a Plaid), or even 3/Y at ~$60-75k
- paid an additional $15k for FSD (12 ½ years worth of subscription at current pricing)
- doesn't have access to latest FSD versions because HW3 (missed cutoff point by a few months)
- can't justify upgrading to HW4 because they’re deeply underwater on their current car
- see $15k FSD purchase option drop by nearly half, even though Tesla said it was only going to get more expensive
- see a great deal on a Cybertruck with "Free FSD Transfer for loyal customers!" advertised right below the Order button. press "Order."
- aren’t chronically online, so miss Tesla quietly changing the terms retroactively
- show up (or are about to show up) for delivery in June only to be told “sorry, we’re not honoring that”
- then went online to figure out what happened… and got hit with “stop wanting things for free!”
these customers exist, and will never buy another Tesla again.

@alborzdesign Well not in the traditional sense but I have even come up with an idea of how they could work around it for maybe $300
English

I’m now maxed out on referrals for the rest of the year. Time to help you guys get some Tesla referrals!
Drop your referral links below and I’ll send people asking for a code to the comment section to select one. Won’t be able to help everyone, but will do what I can.
For those curious, here's what people ordered using my code:
• Model Ys: 6
• Cybertrucks: 3
• Model 3: 1

I’m not traveling to my in-laws in a RoboVan.
That platform does NOT meet the needs of growing families with 3+ kids.
The RoboVan is meant to replace public transportation buses, trains, etc, not act as a family hauler.
Tesla needs to produce a full-size 3-row SUV. Replace the S/X with the CyberSUV.
