Education Is Hope: Support Schoolchildren in Zimbabwe I’m raising funds in support of Care for Someone, a small charity with a big heart, dedicated to transforming the lives of disadvantaged children and young people in Zimbabwe. Every donation, no matter the size, makes a real and lasting difference and I’m deeply grateful for your support. Care for Someone works tirelessly to ensure that children in Zimbabwe are not forced to abandon their education due to poverty. The charity currently supports ten children at Kaunye Primary and Secondary Schools in Mutoko District, covering their school fees and giving them the opportunity to learn, grow, and dream of a better future. We have been working closely with these children and their families for several years, and without this support, many would be unable to continue their education. In addition to supporting schoolchildren in Mutoko, Ruwa and other areas of Mashonaland East, the charity is extending its impact to university students who face significant barriers to learning. Many of these students lack access to basic resources such as laptops, which are essential for studying, completing assignments, and participating fully in their courses. Your donation will help provide these vital tools, enabling students to succeed academically and prepare for meaningful careers. The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) advises the public that it has not issued any statement regarding the alleged assault of Douglas Coltart. The message circulating on social media is therefore false and misleading. The police confirm that a report of the alleged assault has been received and investigations are currently underway. The ZRP remains committed to maintaining law and order and will provide updates through official platforms.

Parliament is conducting public consultations on Constitutional Amendment Bill No. 3 across the country, with meetings in both urban and rural areas to ensure inclusivity. This process provides citizens with a direct platform to engage lawmakers and shape constitutional reforms. Many citizens welcomed the proposals, citing stronger governance, improved efficiency, and alignment with national development goals. Parliament will review public submissions before the Bill proceeds to the next stage. The consultations conclude on 2 April.

#CAB3 has been resoundingly given a thumbs up in Bulawayo, the heart of the opposition, as reports indicate that the majority of attendees raised points in support while a few disagreed. Of the 39 people who contributed 32 supported while only 7 opposed. The Bill indeed has commendable ideas which anyone refraining from the poison of political polarity or factionalism will support. Unfortunately many recycle copied arguments without investing in personal interactions with these documents. Even more, social media doesn't attend these hearings! What I'm proud of is that there have been no reports of violence. That is commendable and a manifest show of our matured democracy as a country.
