@BJP4India In past, most countries also chose to lower the fuel price when crude price dropped, but India chose different path then also, so STFU. When chose not to speak then, don’t speak now. Spare us from holier than congress bar coz that’s a really low bar.

As the West Asian crisis pushed Brent crude above $100 per barrel, countries across the world saw massive fuel hikes — Myanmar up to 112%, the US around 45%, and Pakistan over 50%. In comparison, India limited the increase in petrol and diesel prices to around 3%. For 76 days, India’s public-sector oil companies absorbed massive losses instead of immediately burdening citizens. The ₹3 revision announced in May was the first major increase in nearly four years. This stability reflects strong energy planning, diversified imports, and decisive leadership. 👉 𝐖𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐚 𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐝 𝐚 𝐠𝐥𝐨𝐛𝐚𝐥 𝐟𝐮𝐞𝐥 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐜𝐤 𝐰𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐜𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐧𝐬 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐫𝐮𝐧𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐲 𝐢𝐧𝐟𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧.

The #E20 fuel cover-up is clearly a full-blown scam. Check out this coordinated stonewalling from the Govt and OMCs: 1️⃣ Ministry of Petroleum sat on the RTI for 2 months, then shuffled it away. 2️⃣ ARAI claims the actual testing data is a "confidential" state secret. 3️⃣ HPCL & BPCL shut down the RTI, hilariously claiming that asking for a physical report is "seeking an opinion." 4️⃣ IOCL just replied by pointing me to the generic NITI Aayog roadmap already in the public domain—completely dodging the actual test reports. They are playing bureaucratic games because the truth is terrifying: SIAM's own official stance warns that putting E20 in incompatible vehicles isn't just about losing mileage - it is a massive safety risk. There are no hidden success reports. The Ministry lied in their press release, the OMCs are complicit, and millions of Indian motorists are being forced to drive ticking time bombs on a ghost policy @HindustanPetroleum @BPCLimited @IndianOilcl @PetroleumMin @siamindia @arai_india @HardeepSPuri

On expected lines, reply from @IndianOilcl is also a piece of mumbo-jumbo. 1. They say they just assisted @siamindia & @arai_india in a study which they don't have detailed report of. 2. The link they've shared is of the NITI aayog roadmap which I've been referring to time and again. The same roadmap in which SIAM clearly recommends that e20 for existing vehicles is not just detrimental to efficiency, but also a safety risk. 3. SIAM has actually recommended e20 to be rolled out from 2028 with parallel availability of e10. When automobile association bodies have clearly warned that existing vehicles are incompatible with e20, why the forced rollout claiming some research which probably doesn't exist? My question still remains (as of millions of petrol vehicle owners) - Where's the research studies report that @PetroleumMin claims to have? @HardeepSPuri

@harshmadhusudan @prasannavishy One area of improvement is that we need to rethink how we redistribute money and collect tax, all govt are really inefficient in what they do across the world, so they should do what is absolute must and avoid doing what can be avoided. We constantly are in election mode. :(

Never seen so much pessimism regarding India in my twenty years of studying macro and markets. Not in 2008, 2013, 2020. AI is a positive for India. There is absolutely no sign of Indian service exports slowing down in the latest data. If a $20k guy in Pune is to be laid off, a $200k guy in Philly is even more on the chopping block. If anything giving them both the latest AI reduces any competence gap. Regarding AI supply side, Sarvam etc just received more investment and we are continuing to work on the semiconductor side. Second/third mover advantage on the cheap is not a small thing here. Actually, AI has in part negated the platform winner-takes-all economics of US Big Tech by making it capex-intensive. Of course national security considerations remain. The rupee is extremely oversold. The gold/silver import restriction moderate measures have just kicked in. Ex-gold we have been in significant trade and current account surplus for many years. US 10y is now 4.6%. Gas and mortgage rates are off the chart there. Rising long-end of the yield curve and rapidly rising AI capex theme both cannot go on together for much longer. We have to be patient: my view remains India is by far the world's greatest investment opportunity amongst the major themes available today. Of course as part of a diversified asset allocation so that we can live another day to be wrong if needed :)

@ypmansharamani @R_N_Vaghani They could have simply lowered the fuel prices, lower price directly impacting product prices, cost of daily travel, why take the money and redistribute which is inefficient. Babus will make money in the process. Why always compare with congress, BJP can be better on its own na

Minister @HardeepSPuri please have a strategy for Peak Oil for India too. Transport is 60% of oil. We should have 50% new 2 W as EV, 30% Cars, by 2030! Buses should be 100 RV by 2030 as Railways are. New Trucks should be 30% EV by 2030. We need coal gas in a big way. We need to Peak oil to strengthen our economy. This is quicker, @narendramodi @PMOIndia @nitin_gadkari @PiyushGoyal @FinMinIndia @Pai_dPiper
Hardeep Singh Puri@HardeepSPuri

Today, at the 11th Brainstorming Session at IIPM, Gurugram, along with @PetroleumMin officials and leaders of our oil and gas PSUs, we discussed plans to strengthen our India’s energy future. Key deliberations included strengthening of Research and development, Innovation and startup ecosystem in Indian oil and gas space, focusing on further reforms in domestic E&P sector specially for deepwater drilling to increase offshore oil and gas exploration. We also did scenario planning for any contingency and ways to further diversifying our energy imports to reduce risks from global disruptions Deliberations also took place on developing Hydrogen ecosystem in India, further development of CBG sector, LNG mobility etc. Our aim is simple: secure, affordable, sustainable and self-reliant energy powered by Indian innovation and capability. #AtmanirbharBharat #EnergySecurity @PMOIndia @PIB_India @Secretary_MoPNG @DghIndia @PPACIndia @BPCLimited @EngineersIND @gailindia @HPCL @IndianOilcl @IGLConnect @ONGC_ @ongcvideshltd @OilIndiaLimited @PetronetLNGLtd

The surge in global fuel prices since the outbreak of the West Asia conflict offers a revealing comparison of how different countries have managed economic shocks. The closure of the Strait of Hormuz, the world’s most critical oil chokepoint, and the prolonged disruption of shipments sent Brent crude soaring above $100 per barrel through much of April and early May. Across the world, consumers have felt the impact directly at fuel stations. But India stands out as a striking exception. Between 23 February and 15 May 2026, nearly every major economy saw sharp increases in petrol and diesel prices. In several countries, the rise has been staggering: • Myanmar: Petrol +89.7%, Diesel +112.7%
• Malaysia: Petrol +56.3%, Diesel +71.2%
• Pakistan: Petrol +54.9%, Diesel +44.9%
• UAE: Petrol +52.4%, Diesel +86.1%
• United States: Petrol +44.5%, Diesel +48.1%
• Sri Lanka: Petrol +38.2%, Diesel +41.8%
• UK: Petrol +19.2%, Diesel +34.2%
• Germany: Petrol +13.7%, Diesel +19.8%
• Japan: Petrol +9.7%, Diesel +11.2% India recorded the smallest material increase among all major economies: Petrol: +3.2%
Diesel: +3.4% Only Saudi Arabia reported zero change due to direct state subsidy structures. Among major market economies, India has effectively experienced the lowest increase. This did not happen by accident. For seventy-six days after the escalation in West Asia, India’s public sector oil marketing companies, accounting for nearly 90% of fuel retail sales, kept prices largely unchanged despite rising global crude costs. Instead of immediately passing on the burden to citizens, they absorbed substantial under-recoveries at the refinery gate. Reported estimates suggest daily under-recoveries had approached nearly ₹1,000 crore. The ₹3 per litre revision announced on 15 May is the first price revision in almost four years and amounts to only about a 3.5% increase on a base of approximately ₹95 per litre. The contrast with the rest of the world is stark. In liberalised markets, consumers have absorbed shocks immediately. Pakistanis are paying nearly 55% more for petrol than three months ago. Malaysians over 56% more. Americans nearly 45% more. Several countries have seen diesel rise by 50–100%, reflecting disruptions in trade, logistics and freight. India, however, managed to shield consumers from global volatility for over two months before implementing a calibrated increase. This matters because fuel prices do not remain confined to petrol pumps. They affect transport costs, food inflation, manufacturing, logistics and household budgets. Containing fuel volatility is also about containing inflation. The story here is not merely about a ₹3 increase. The story is that while much of the world adjusted through increases of 10%, 20%, 50%, and in some cases nearly 90%, India limited the impact on its citizens to just over 3%. That is the context behind the numbers.

My friend’s brother had savings of ₹1 Crore & wanted to buy a luxury car. Family:
“Don’t buy a car. Buy land. Safe option.” But he think smart : • Kept ₹1 Crore as FD in parents name
• Took ₹90 Lakhs loan against FD @9%
• Bought luxury car in company’s name 5 years later…

Bandhu Prakash Pal—an RSS worker and LIC insurance agent from Murshidabad—had filed a complaint regarding the encroachment of government land behind his home for the construction of a place of worship. One night, Bandhu Prakash, his wife, and their innocent 4-year-old son were brutally murdered with axe blows; their heads were nearly severed. You will all recall that the three were killed with such savagery that it made humanity itself weep. The Hindu community staged protests and sit-ins against this heinous act; the Mamata government ruthlessly suppressed these demonstrations while promising to apprehend the killers. A month later, the Bengal Police held a press conference to announce the arrest of a single individual—a Hindu man—whom they identified as the sole killer of all three victims! 👉 The stated motive for the murder was that the late Bandhu Pal—being an LIC agent—had accepted a premium payment from a client but failed to issue a receipt for it. Enraged by this, the said policyholder allegedly took an axe and—acting #alone—murdered Bandhu Prakash Pal, his wife, and their innocent son. Curiously, this alleged #lone_killer was never even presented before the public. We demand that the new BJP government order a fresh investigation into the murders of the late Bandhu Prakash and his entire family. Furthermore, whoever the actual killers of Bandhu Prakash and his family may be, they must all be sentenced to d€ath.

Chairman, MD , CEO @AirIndiaX I am extremely disappointed with the experience faced during my travel with Air India. For the 3rd time, my booked class was downgraded and full airfare charged ! Downgraded a fully sold flight If a Member of Parliament is facing such treatment, one can only imagine the difficulties common passengers must be going through. This reflects a serious lapse in planning and passenger service accountability. I request you to kindly look into this matter and ensure strict action so that airlines cannot inconvenience passengers in this manner in future. A stray dog saves the lives of 30 children This is what paid media won’t tell you. In Dhirikula village of Mayurbhanj, Odisha, a stray dog named Kali gave her life to save more than 30 school children. A poisonous snake was crawling toward children sitting outside their school. Kali sensed the danger and attacked the snake immediately. She killed it — but the snake bit her during the fight. She died soon after. Villagers performed her last rites and called her the protector of their children. While television studios and agenda-driven “experts” keep screaming about a so-called dog menace, they never show stories like this — because heroism from a stray dog doesn’t fit their nefarious dog hate propaganda. A street dog saw danger, acted instantly, and died protecting human children. In the meantime the so called humans are burning alive puppies @PMOIndia @HMOIndia @ndtv @aajtak @PTIofficial @PTI_News @ThePrintIndia @IndiaToday @USATODAY @nytimes @PhaedraXTeddy @rickygervais @PeterEgan6
