New preprint from @MikeAngeloLab @cncurtis et al @StanfordMed Temporal and spatial composition of the tumor microenvironment predicts response to immune checkpoint inhibition Apart from the unique longitudinal on-treatment cohort of patients with #BreastCancer whose tumors are profiled by multiplexed imaging, this preprint features an open source algorithm - SpaceCat - for automated feature extraction from multiplexed images. Greater than 800 features are extracted from each MIBI image here correlating with patient / treatment outcomes. Fantastic tool.

Komen Scholar @cncurtis presents her work at #SABCS23 that shows how a patient’s genome leads to progression from DCIS to invasive breast cancer and metastasis. This work may pave the way for future work in predicting the most aggressive breast cancers.
