Maybe if you played 9 conference games you'd have a complaint. Texas was Ohio State's 10th P4 opponent. OSU was Texas's ninth. If you guys want to go the Indiana route and schedule four G5 (or FCS) bums OOC, then you'll probably be fine doing it once the SEC goes to 9 conference games. Until then, it's a non-starter and it makes you just look weak.

My prediction: The committee is going to make Texas the first team out and then say "we put Texas over BYU, Miami, Vandy, etc. because they chose to play Ohio State" So they can keep us out but still try to sell that they care about non-con. All the rankings outside the top 12 are performative anyway.
