The reality is... it was USSR who liberated China from Japanese invasion. US had virtually no role in that. Chinese killed more Japnese soldiers in WW2 than US did. USSR moved a portion of its army from Europe to Far East in the months after defeat of Nazi Germany and swept Japanese from China within a month or so and started taking northern Japanese islands (Russia still keeps these islands). US forced the surrender of Japan by A-bombing before Soviets took over all of it. We'd have Soviet Republic of Nihon otherwise. Most Westerners have virtually no clue about WW2 in Far East and do not understand that the naval war in Pacific was a mere side show to the main action on the continent.
