@MAMBarLife I'm hoping someone will soon tell me why Baird seems to spend all day tweeting about this issue, rather than doing her day job of sorting out the CCRC. I hope she remembers the presumption of innocence when she's in that role. She clearly didn't in front of the bill committee

I am very pleased to report that the BSB have evidently considered the complaint against me by the Good Law Project and Euan Weddell very carefully and have determined there is no case to answer. As both the GLP and EW made their complaints public I think it appropriate to share the outcome. I will be proceeding with my action in defamation against Mr Maugham.

@brad_polumbo I do get this one. In what was a generally well cast film series, Alan Rickman was the most perfectly cast as Snape. It would be hard for any other pale white dude to not feel like an imitation. Race swapping brings something new. And JK Rowling has given him her blessing so.

@gmhales The transcript would typically be provided electronically unless otherwise requested. Even a transcript provided to the victim in a sexual case will have their own name redacted as standard practice. You can't redact a voice.

@aswren No it doesn't. It still goes through a redaction period and still has to be paid for. It isn't an instant, free public access system. AI transcription remains terrible.

Many victims don’t see the full trial. They show up for their day to give evidence and that’s it. Being able to read the trial in its totality can bring quite a bit of closure. These transcriptions should be automatic. We have the technology to do it very inexpensively
