Pre-Covid a Business Class ticket meant Lounge included etc or an Economy ticket meant check-in bags are by default included in the airline fares. Over the last few years there are various fares to cater to all traveler types. Emirates, Etihad and many other airlines etc are also selling Economy tickets with just a handbag or even selling Business Class tickets with just a carry-on etc, which wasn't the case earlier. Then comes the aggregators which need to display all the details upfront. Many do but a few still don't clearly tell what all is included in the fare you're booking. This maybe just a fare which didn't include Lounge Access with the flight ticket. Also quite possible the lounge was included but the aggregator didn't pass the info with the airlines. At end its just integration with the airlines portal. Always double check the fare and what is included. If in doubt check the same on the airlines website before booking. Once done again check with the airlines call center etc.

Absolutely disgusted with @Emirates. Bought a Business Class ticket on Expedia thinking I was flying a top class airline. At check-in they refused lounge access and treated me like dirt with the rudest staff imaginable. Flying through danger zones already had me worried , i now know why. Emirates is the airline from hell.

@Kenu73 In practice, this will only help UK bound travellers. None of the US/CA travellers ever needed it. A tiny % of people heading to South America will be happy too, but UK travellers are the majority of beneficiaries, not many else.

Frenchies did it, Germany announced before them but they probably forgot or the German bureaucracy doesn't really care. January 12, 2026 was when they had announced but we are about to enter June and nada. French President had said he will, try and within months he did it.

Embassy of France in India- "With effect from 10 April 2026, Indian nationals possessing an ordinary passport are no longer required to hold an airport transit visa when passing through the international zone of airports located on French territory. This measure applies to passengers remaining in the international zone during a layover at a French airport en route to a third country."

@Vgdktk Hopefully live on Timatic soon. At present, not reflecting. Airlines typically are reluctant to read the official embassy notes and depend on Timatic with eyes closed. Then again, UK travellers appear to be the only significant beneficiaries of this. Not many to South America.

🚨 Indian passport holders no longer need a France transit visa when passing through en route to a third country ✈️ Earlier, this exemption was only for those with visas from the US, Canada, Japan, or EU. Now it applies to everyone. This has also been updated on the official France Visas platform. #Visa #Travel

@Kenu73 T&C mein small print mein likha hoga - Possession of US visa is a necessary requirement for Singapore visa. You've agreed to this T&C while booking. Ab no refunds.

Probably it has been shared earlier, sharing it again- Air India is one of the best miles program for booking Short domestic US flights. Couple of tips when booking United flights via Air India- 1) Sometimes the airport can't be searched on website, like I want to book from BUF-IAD, so try booking such sectors via App 2) You can add your flights to united and then sometimes there's an option to upgrade, like for 1 flight I am getting United first for $100/person.

@ankurmittal 122500 for a nonstop flight to North America is a good value even for 1 pax. For 4 awards on a single booking, there is hardly anything better out there.

Was searching for an award flight from New York to Delhi on united.com and noticed something interesting. The nonstop United flight was showing 2.35 Lac miles for Business Class on the search page, but when booking, I got 4 tickets at 1.225 Lac miles each.. Generally, partner Business Class awards on United from the US to India is around 88K miles. But finding 4 seats is tough and we won’t get a nonstop option.

@LoveleenArun Subsidiary airlines aren't always a part of the parent airline's alliance. The alliance takes the call of inducting any subsidiary airlines or not. Qantas is in Oneworld, but Jetstar isn't. Singapore Airlines is in Star Alliance, but Scoot isn't.

@Kenu73 @skh27 Agree with Priyesh. I have been there two times. Light pink here and there in a major park. Tons of (mostly American) tourists. I actually now prefer Japan in Sep/Oct, autumn is more beautiful and much less crowded.

@skh27 Bhai this is true on paper. In practice, no partner flies DEL-HKG. It'll be via SIN or BKK. If you are fine with it, the AI dude will 'add' each individual sector mileage and show you the total cost which does not match the one in your screenshot. They have a hidden T&C.

@skh27 For small amount of points, check out their upgrade awards on own metal. Southeast Asia cheap revenue fare book karo and then upgrade. Much better value.

@skh27 Seriously though - Unless you are minting AI miles, where is the sweet spot in partner redemptions? Most Y redemptions require points equivalent to J redemptions in other programs.

@skh27 Very few (like 1% partner routes) are shown online. They are very well able to see them if you call them up, but again you can get a rogue untrained agent who wouldn't have heard of partner airline redemption; so it won't be easy even after you overlook the not so great value.

@manishasinghal What is on the app v/s what is seen is simply pointing out FR24 discrepancy, not reporting on the Aviation sector. Reporting would be to get insider info on the exact cause of diversion. Just saying.
