Appointments should be based entirely on competence, not gender. When you think about it, these individuals are the face of the government in the Supreme Court, and that selection needs to reflect absolute merit, nothing less. The problem is that @TVKPartyHQ seems permanently stuck in narrative-setting mode. But logically speaking, the elections are over and you are actually the government now. It’s time to shift from campaign theater to real administration, and this cinema needs to stop.

@vignesh_1718 That’s the States economy and not the the Govt’s economy. The debt is to be paid back, only if the Govt income is increased that can be done. Off course if GDP Increases Tax increases and its meagre.

Classic example of why this ID doesn’t know shit!! TN government has an inherited debt of ₹10.71 Lakh crores which means we would be paying ₹5,796 crore every month on interest (as per the latest budget) consuming over 22% of states revenue only on interest payments. This is major strain in cashflow for the government. This might not be currently alarming considering the GDP of the state is 3.3x the amount of debt prima facie. What we should consider is the increase in debt translates to the GDP of the state. In the past 5 years, Debt is growing at 15.86% per year; GSDP is growing at 14-15% which means that debt is growing faster than the economy. This would not be a sustainable development scenario if this continues to unfold. This is the reality!! Don’t keep talking big economy!!!
