Thank you to @MillerInkLA for including us in the year end summit and getting to learn of many new use cases following our belief that people do not work for AIs, AIs work for people

Thank you to @john_rossant @Vivskivs @TimGribaudi, Daniel Eppstein, Alex Kiczales, and the entire @CoMotionNEWS team on making CoMotion MIAMI 2026 such an impactful event! It was exciting to be able to connect with so many new thought leaders and transportation officials

In bright sunny Miami, people who are trying to unchoke the gridlock of traffic, and prevent traffic accidents, all gathered this week at the CoMotion Miami Conference. Here are our best highlights: • @CityofMiami Mayor Higgins kicking off the conference highlighting the many partnerships that start at CoMotion and quickly spread across the state • @MayorDaniella talked about how she is pushing Miami-Dade county to embrace change for improving infrastructure with new ideas • Miami’s top transportation official @GoMiamiDade's Stacy Miller announced winners of the Mobility Awards, given to innovators in the field • And our team favorite, @john_rossant's keynote about how public and private sectors are joining forces in order to achieve the full benefits of AI across the entire transportation sector

Fascinating article in @WorksInProgMag on the stunning advances that have enabled microscopes to see things that once would have been unthinkable. Key line: “Microscopes have improved over 10,000 fold in resolution over the last 200 years.” Why? Spoiler alert: the biggest leap has NOT come from AI, in relative terms — at least not yet It's a story told through fundamental shifts, when microscopes moved from one basis to the next Microscopes are now in their 3rd major phase. 1st was light, then electrons, and now AI Moving from light to electrons translated to a 1000x improvement But the most recent advance has come from implementing AI inference, which has already resulted in a 10x improvement from electron microscopes — or 10,000-fold compared to 200 years ago But with additional order-of-magnitude advances in AI — not just those we've seen, but what lies ahead — the possibilities are endless for what scientists might soon be able to see

Thank you! It is pretty incredible how many well-placed cameras there are already on the highways, and how LENS is able to work so well with these existing CCTV video feeds. Also just as you and Jason said, it is very exciting to see public safety officers preventing accidents before they happen, and to know how quickly we can help people on the road across the country!

@kevinpomplun @rootsofprogress I went to his talk, and it was fascinating. LENS didn't actually install the cameras. State DOTs did, mostly in the 90s. LENS is just swooping and applying AI. Very cool! And it's possible all over the country

The Progress Conference was amazing. Met many interesting people and had many engaging conversations. The @rootsofprogress community and ecosystem you and your team have created is incredible. Thank you for including me and lending your voice to the LENS mission!
Jason Crawford@jasoncrawford

I met the founder of LENS at Progress Conference. They put cameras on the highways and alert if they detect something highly dangerous—like a car going the wrong way, or exceeding 100mph—so the police can respond immediately and prevent an accident. Very good work:
