My Mumbai Where 'cutting our lungs' is always for 'Positive Environmental Impact'. On paper Where compensatory trees are always planted On paper It is easy to destroy Difficult to plan And at present the devil-opmemt plan is simple. Destroy all. That's the only Truth

BMC says "compensatory tree plantation for Mumbai's mega projects will now be outside Mumbai." I am getting convinced that environmentalists are being proven right in fighting against infrastructure. They have not made it a environment vs infrastructure clash. The State has.

On my complaint, State Gov of Maharashtra directs 1. Commissioner PMC 2. Chief Engineer Water Resources 3. Regional Officer MPCB to conduct urgent inquiry/inspection of ongoing RFD project with participation of complainant & submit the report immediately. PMC is silent on this.

One single "NGO" called Vanashakti is behind 90% of PILs against Mumbai development... Somebody needs to investigate the hell out of them on how they can manage such high price lawyers in the courts. Source of money? And the real reason why they are against this development

An extremely disturbing incident came to light in SGNP's ESZ area (Yeoor). A monkey was shot a steel-made Arrow. While the money is rescued now by RAWW, the question remains- whats happening in our jungles? @MahaForest request you to investigate the matter and share updates.

Moving to a rescue centre was a lie. No more believing the official reports. We just received video that the 19 surviving leopards are STILL in Vadgaon Sawtal, trapped in sweltering metal cages under sun. They were NEVER moved to Manikdoh. The @MahaForest department is feeding us false information to stop the emails and media outbreak. We want them OUT of those cages and into the rescue center TODAY. @Manekagandhibjp @PETAIndia the officials are ignoring the legal notices and lying to the public. We need eyes on Vadgaon Sawtal NOW. This is a life-or-death emergency. Please RT and tag @MahaForest to demand the TRUTH. #JusticeForLeopards #VadgaonLeopards #WildlifeCruelty #Maharashtra #StopTheLies #SaveIndianAnimals @CMOMaharashtra @PMOIndia @HMOIndia @wti_org_india @WWF @WWFINDIA @PetaIndia @deespeak @dilthi_gujarati @AjoyDharmavaram @rashtrapatibhvn @AwbiBallabhgarh @Protect_Wldlife @moefcc @byadavbjp @TheJohnAbraham @RenukaCCongress @ShraddhaKapoor @joedelhi @Manekagandhibjp @AmbikaShukla15

Spoke with my brother, H.H. Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Amir of Qatar. We stand firmly in solidarity with Qatar and strongly condemn any violation of its sovereignty and territorial integrity. We emphasized the urgent need to restore peace and stability in the region through dialogue and diplomacy. I also conveyed my appreciation for his continued support and care for the Indian community in Qatar during this challenging time. @TamimBinHamad

@MahaForest is in a deep slumber while the forest in its backyard is sliced every single night. Such glaring floodlights in the forest is violation of Wildlife and other Acts. What's this night work all about? Who is constructing what? Is this legal? Loc: SGNP, near Thakur vlge.

Tapovan Trees Nashik The Gazetteer documents a place called Tapovan in Nashik along the banks of the River Godavari and its Sangam with the tributary Kapila since the year 1883. The earliest publishing of an epic poem called the Ramayana describes this very Tapovan around the same parts of Nashik around the 1650’s. We have development plan copies published by none other than the Nashik Municipal Corporation until 1993 acknowledging that location and its trees as Tapovan. Suddenly one witnesses, a whole bunch of surveys viz: 286, 287A, 288, 289 , 290 , 292, 332 333, 334, 335, 336 ,337 ,338 ,339 ,343, 344 ,345, 346. Classified as Sadhugram. As also the erstwhile Tapovan or survey no’s. 324 325 326 327 328 329 330 331 are reserved as park/green/ bufferzone/ other. Whatever happened to Tapovan ? Tapovan which used to be Tapovan for over a century and several centuries before as evidenced in writing since 1650’s and before that in folklore. Well, questioning reveals that something happened around 2015 and they chose to redo all the nomenclature in the new Nashik “Development Plan” or DP for brevity. The truth is they actually exterminated a heritage precinct and a sacred forest “Devrai” under the directions of their lords and masters from the present dispensation. The “DP” shenanigans. The “cancerous” IAS is accountable to nobody when it puts together what we know as the development plan of a city or modifies it. This is fact. At best, they indulge in some token manipulation of newsmedia to invite suggestions and objections to the lines on paper they draw and approve of as their vision for a town or city. Normally nobody objects and even if anybody does they tick a box saying they’ve heard us while going about doing exactly as they please. Zero accountability what will you do as a citizen at best go to court and their position will be that they’ve already heard you publicly. If you’re wondering why things are gone to such shit in our cities look no further than the IAS officers who don’t want to do better than their lot and are often hand in glove with politicians to rape our cities and are at it continuously 24X7. In Pune lately they have subverted land reserved for schools, Utility reservations like hospitals, gardens, parking, water works, veg market blatantly being converted to "Bharat Mandapam" @SVYadwadkar says Government is selling our heart, lungs & kidneys to buy movie tickets? The same thing is happening with the Tapovan in Nashik and the entire area of the sacred grove is to be levelled “all 1800 trees” to reclaim land from the river at the sangam and call it a MICE project., MICE is an acronym for Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions or Events. There is a national strategy chalked out to make this happen and all the survey numbers you saw thus far will all be subsumed. The plot sickens. They figured out in Nashik that they wanted to fell all the trees in any case so why talk about it. They simply went and earmarked them for slaughter. Put cross signs on all of them. As per law: A. The project for which they’re doing what they are should be in the public domain. Nothing is. The reservations and nomenclature changes in the DP certainly exist. B. The tree docket which carries a detailed survey and on ground report of the number of trees, its species, their ages, purpose for being felled, the notice copies, details of the application and the applicant doesn’t exist either. C. In a sleight of hand manoeuvre, “masterstroke” if you like a minister was commandeered “kumbh mela minister” and told to go justify to the people that the trees will be felled for religious reasons. The religion will be better off minus the Tapovan and a MICE centre in its place. Nashikkars didn’t buy any of this bullshit and they love their heritage more than the spin doctoring of these one exam wonders IAS johnnies and their political masters that’s why they’re protesting. Got it…
