🇧🇪 @meteobe With deep respect and heartfelt appreciation, we extend our sincere gratitude to the Royal Meteorological Institute of Belgium (KMI/IRM) — an institution whose scientific legacy spans more than a century and whose contribution to atmospheric and ozone science continues to inspire the global scientific community. Established on 31 July 1913, the Royal Meteorological Institute emerged from Belgium’s historic scientific tradition rooted in the Royal Observatory of Belgium, where systematic atmospheric observations had already begun in the 19th century. Remarkably, Belgium issued its first official weather forecast in 1876, reflecting an early national commitment to scientific observation and meteorology — long before atmospheric science became globally mainstream. Belgium, though modest in geographical size, has long stood as a nation of remarkable scientific seriousness, intellectual discipline, and quiet innovation. From pioneering meteorological observations and atmospheric sounding in the early 1900s to sustained ozone monitoring across decades, the country has demonstrated how scientific consistency can leave a lasting impact on humanity’s understanding of Earth’s atmosphere. Even more inspiring is the continuity of this scientific spirit — surviving world wars, rebuilding, and continuing to contribute toward global atmospheric understanding with patience and precision. Such institutions remind the world that science advances not only through discoveries, but through dedication sustained across generations. We now sincerely hope that our new perspective will contribute to understanding the real stratospheric ozone layer and prove helpful in identifying the real causes behind the decades-long global environmental concern regarding the so-called ozone hole, ultimately proving fully effective and capable in its elimination. To the Kingdom of Belgium and the Royal Meteorological Institute — thank you for carrying forward a scientific tradition that continues to benefit humanity and deepen our understanding of Earth’s atmosphere. 🌍 #OzoneHoleElimination #MEGA #MakeEarthGreatAgain #RealStratosphericOzone #EndTheOzoneHoleMyth #AtmosphericScience #OzoneResearch #Belgium
