@Villgecrazylady I wished we had stopped after the B2 strikes. But Iran supports and funds terrorism. They need to be finished. Maybe we shouldn't have continued. But I think the US government has more intel on the situation than X influencers. I'll keep trusting Trump.

The C-SAR op to extract the F-15 WSO is certainly a good success for the U.S.
But let's not oversell it:
- He was in a sparsely populated, periphery province of Iran
- in 21st century with GPS and satellite phones, the rescuers had a big advantage
- The first, daytime attempt failed and led to two damaged Blackhawks, one crash landing, a lost A-10 and injured crews
- The nighttime 2nd operation exploited darkness with known position
➡️ So hiding in the wilderness of a remote region for two days, while knowing your position and communicating with your forces is an advantageous situation.
Being just 50-100km from Iran's borders is major another advantage.
But credit where its due, after the costly first failed attempt, lessons were learned and effectively applied.

امروز با دوستی که به دلیل حوزه کاری شرکتشون، سالها مستقیم با تک تک پتروشیمیها کار کرده بود صحبت کردم. خیلی خوشحال بود از زدن پتروشیمیها و معتقد بود در عمل هیچ نفعی برای ملت نداشتهاند و عملاً لانه فساد و ثروتاندوزی سپاه شده بودند. میگفت اگر مردم دقیقاً بدونن هر روز در این چاه ویل پتروشیمی چقدر از اموال ملت غارت میشه و هدر میره، خوشحال میشن و دلشون خنک میشه از زدنشون.
یه نکته جالب دیگه رو هم تاکید کرد: هر کس واقعاً دیده اونجا چه خبره و الان داره دم از زیرساخت ملی میزنه، یه سودی از اون سفره فساد آمیز بهش میرسه وگرنه امکان نداره اون غارتخونه رو از نزدیک دیده باشی و الان از زدنش خوشحال نشی!

BREAKING: Bad news, the damaged A-10C+ which was spotted over Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad province of Iran today did not make it to its base. Now the shootdown of a second A-10C+ Thunderbolt II ground attack aircraft of the U.S. Air Force by Iranian air defenses has been confirmed. This was involved in the search and rescue operation after shootdown of the F-15E of the 494th FS in Iran. According to CENTCOM sources speaking to ABC News and other outlets, the A-10C+—which was earlier believed to have reached Iraq and performed an emergency landing—actually crashed in Kuwait after the pilot ejected. The pilot was rescued immediately. This marks the second loss of an A-10C+ of the U.S. Air Force during the Iran war in just one day. #OperationEpicFury #OperationLionsRoar

After the F-15 shot down 🇺🇸-🇮🇱 4th Gen. Tactical Airpower probably won't be risked to fly deep strike missions into Iran
➡️ Instead they will be used to launch stand-off cruise-missiles, mostly JASSMs
The only tactical platform that posses the necessary features for deep air raids is the F-22 and to notably lesser extend the F-35
Deep air raids enabled by precise electronic battlefield maps can create raid corridors.
With super-cruising F-22 doing the bombing and F-35 in the rear for air-defense suppression
+ heavy (GaN) stand-off jamming to degrade stabile tracking by Iranian SAMs
But for air raids up to 200-300km deep, the F-35 combined with heavy stand-off jamming remains a key strike option for 🇮🇱
➡️ But even for those cases: As sorties decline and threat situation eases for Iran + adjustments in its ambush techniques
It's only a matter of time till the next F-35 is hit...
