@CATargetBot0001 Probably still early but this is callable at this point

@metrolosangeles Please make sure A line service is stable this weekend if you're asking people to use it as an alternative!

@BethanyAllenEbr Bethany, I haven't heard anyone talking about the fact that Rubio is sanctioned by China. Seems like a reverse Li Shangfu situation, and quite interesting. Wonder what the impacts of that might be

@bussit_bbLA Pico to 7th is pretty great actually, esp since the train makes the one traffic light 90% of the time. USC to LATTC is...fine. Not great, but fine.
Pretty much the entire problem is LATTC to Pico. That stretch takes longer than the other two combined.

@berniesbro94 @mikeoplasma @NickAndert That's Expo/Bundy. It's already under construction. No plans for apartments in Rancho Park.

Spanish lesson of the day ☺️⚡️

A decade of speaking Spanish semiregularly and I did not know aboard was "a bordo" lol

@orenbj @metrolosangeles Chinatown would be one too if the College Station development that was already approved by the city council pre-covid actually got built la.urbanize.city/post/la-city-c…
English

@misken67 @metrolosangeles I believe Expo/Bundy will be the next one

Mixed-use towers begin to rise above the La Cienaga/Jefferson @metrolosangeles station. They will top out around 150ft. 🚈🏗️

@keith_johnson @BikeLanesLA @LADOTofficial Venice was absolutely packed. There looked like space for the driver to go several blocks in Hollywood, but a driver I saw in Venice who attempted this couldn't even get into the lane before a bunch of bikers getting squeezed in got off and confronted the driver
English

@BikeLanesLA @LADOTofficial Happened in the ciclavia to Venice but he was stopped right away, gotta ticket too. Driver asked officers why there were so many bikes in the way.

@NerdTransiting @kbalakri @ponilinda @SFBART Sometimes there's no agent and you're supposed to just walk through. Even if there is an agent the gates just open anyways
English

Just saw a guy come up the stairs at Civic towards the new gates, walk at them, hit them and then go “oh fuck”
Thank you for working to keep our system safe.

@JosephPolitano The Trolley carried more people than BART at one point? Good lord...
I knew BART was doing bad but local transit generally has been doing better around the country so I didn't realize Muni was also performing so poorly...
English

@Loomis_USA hey there, your van is illegally parked at the bus stop at @WestfieldCC today, blocking the Route 4 @metrolosangeles bus. This is a long articulated bus so in order to drop off riders, the bus ended up blocking part of the intersection. This is dangerous for riders

English

@obchargn @CarterRubin Muni doesn't release station ridership as far as I can tell, but their system ridership is ~75k weekday boardings. Can only guesstimate Embarcadero ridership and while it's close, I didn't know if Muni can close the gap with those numbers
English

@omgitsjcg @keegan_tweets @numble It still depends. If the A northbound train is arriving now and then next closest B/D is more than 3~4 minutes away, then the A is faster. A platform is also closer to the Metrolink trains, if that's your transfer.
English

@keegan_tweets @numble @misken67 Very zoomed in but if you're trying to get to Union Station specifically from 7th, and you're in a hurry, you're looking for B/D every time. It's a shorter trip with more than 2x the departures and cell reception repeaters are installed.

@andr_w VTA's data portal is a bit of a mess. Exported data spreadsheets are so large that they crash Google Sheets. And the portal itself is laggy with too much information. Maybe I'll attempt it one day!
LA metro data also had to be requested. Maybe it's a socal thing
English

Just discovered another (albeit much higher effort) BART ridership map that was actually made before mine, so go check it out!
It also uses a slightly different data set and is for July 2023 to June 2024 average weekday ridership instead of June 2024 only

@andr_w Here's one for BART:
