Thank you, Rep Carter! You faced patients at the pharmacy counter for many years, and fought hard for this PBM reform. 🎉 There is more to do. I was delighted to meet you in December in support of the Pharmacists Fight Back Act, alongside @RepJamesComer @RepAuchincloss @RepHarshbarger @RepRashida @SanfordBishop Let’s keep pushing for patients!

I’m glad to see you going into the 1992 Era. And keep in mind 1987 Nancy Pelosi started in politics. 1992 Congress made FDA PDUFAs happen We do need to look at the FDA for the root cause and the Fudicuary Responsibility for our healthcare crisis today when The 1992 Prescription Drug User Fee Act(PDUFA) was started. Being that it is aimed to speed drug approvals by having drug companies pay fees, but problems emerged, including potential safety issues from faster reviews (leading to more black-box warnings/withdrawals), increased industry influence on FDA policy due to budget dependence, and underfunding of post-market safety surveillance, creating a focus on pre-market speed over long-term safety, despite PDUFA being vital for FDA's budget. Now the FDA is financially dependent on industry user fees (over 50% of drug budget), giving companies leverage in negotiations and potentially biasing decisions away from unfavorable policies. I learned this while searching for the answers to MS DMT access for my daughter with a new MS diagnosis and not able to get access to her Treatment. We have a sickne$$ in the FDA with big pharmaceutical created by lawmakers who profited off of all of us right in-front of our eyes

Fitzpatrick Statement on ACA Negotiations: fitzpatrick.house.gov/2025/12/fitzpa…

ACA Obamacare: The unaffordable careless act. 1. Taxpayer bail outs for insurance 2. Insurance kickbacks to politicians 3. High premiums, high deductibles, and high co-pays 4. Narrow network nonsense 5. Care and med denials 6. Payment denials 7. Prior authorization denials 8. Precertification denials 9. No insurance competition 10. No independent physicians and patients lose again!

The cost of life-saving prescription meds are way too high. One of the culprits? PBMs. I’m proud to reintroduce the Pharmacists Fight Back Act – a bipartisan bill to rein in these predatory drug middlemen and lower prices for Americans.

In this episode of PBM Reform Podcast, Greg Reybold speaks with Jake Auchincloss, U.S. Congressman of Massachusetts 4th District. Full episode available on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, YouTube, and more. Link in the comments 👇

Powerful words from @RepJamesComer who is coleading the Pharmacists Fight Back Act. Thank you Chairman Comer for fighting to end unfair PBM practices. Independent pharmacies and their patients are ready to fight with you! #HR 6609 & 6610.

🚨Congress is putting Pharmacy Benefit Managers on notice: their era of taking advantage of Americans is ending. Predatory tactics by PBMs have caused drug prices to soar & our pharmacies to suffer. I introduced bipartisan legislation today to rein in PBMs & protect patients.

Bipartisan legislation in Congress would create much needed curbs on the often troubling actions of pharmacy benefit managers, writes Bucks County pediatrician Marion Mass (@mass_marion). bucksindependence.com/help-fight-the…
