Take a bow, Bob. Gov Ferguson and Olympia Democrats have turned Washington state into the worst fiscally managed state in the country. Reckless spending, job killing taxes and regulation and now a likely drop in Bond ratings. What’s the plan? seattletimes.com/opinion/editor…

Regardless of politics this should piss off all Washingtonians. The AGs office is there to represent the people and protect the constitution. He did the exact opposite.

A thread thecentersquare.com/washington/art… @TJMartinell1 with a bombshell report. @agowa's office literally colluding with Democrats to take away your voice on income tax. Even worse, Jamie Pedersen wanted to START the income tax at 9.9%. CC @thehoffather @jasonrantz @BrandiKruse

@SenWarren You’ve never ran a business have you? What did they pay in payroll taxes, state taxes, excise taxes, b&o tax? Income tax is not the whole tax bill. Stop running shakedowns and costing people their jobs.

If you paid even a penny in federal income tax last year, you paid more than: Tesla Southwest Disney Live Nation HP United PayPal CVS Health Palantir Citigroup PG&E 3M That's right. They paid $0 in federal income tax. It's time for big corporations to pay their fair share.

This is all just so bizarre. His exit was a failed acquisition (I was an investor) that wrecked almost every employee (he was an exec that joined late in the journey) and then the CEO of his company was immediately fired for legal issues (it’s bad). He likely does not make enough money to ever pay the tax going forward, though IBM is retarded so maybe I’m wrong. He is not what most people consider “wealthy”. The fact that he’s talking here live as the poster child and not someone else tells you everything that you need to know.

Meet Bryan Kirschner, another shill for Gov Bob Ferguson's income tax. He is an AI strategist at IBM who identifies as "Fair housing, tax justice, and health equity advocate. 1990s community policing reformer." He falsely claimed no one is leaving the state because of taxes

KNOXVILLE: 3 WOMEN FOUND GUILTY IN MASSIVE PHARMACY FRAUD SCHEME A federal jury just delivered GUILTY verdicts against Tiffany Haney, Anne Warren, and Tina Roper — the trio behind a years-long prescription fraud operation at Rocky Hill Pharmacy right here in Knoxville, Tennessee. Here’s what they were doing: ❌ Writing FAKE prescriptions in the names of friends and family ❌ Billing Medicare, TennCare, and other insurers for drugs costing up to $6,000 EACH ❌ Adding extra medications onto real prescriptions to inflate sales ❌ Using stolen doctor identities to submit unauthorized claims The scheme netted Haney and Warren over $8.7 MILLION dollars. What did they spend it on? A multi-story cabin in Sevier County, a 2024 GMC Sierra, a 2023 Cadillac Escalade, and multiple Knoxville properties — all of which the government has now seized. After a 15-day trial, jurors deliberated and came back with their answer. Justice was served. A forfeiture hearing is coming up, and then U.S. District Judge Thomas Varlan will hand down sentencing. msn.com/en-us/news/us/…

@jonfavs There's a difference between forcing and asking. Put it to the people for a vote. Most unpopular bill in state history. Not going to be just "millionaire tax", It will expand to everyone. Also raiding $4b from retired police/fire pension. Out of control on spending and taxing

@GovBobFerguson It’s incredible how anti business and anti growth you/your comrades are. If they kept it to only over $1M+ then maybe..but no, they wanted the door left open to eventually impose this on everyone. Right out of 1913s playbook. SBucks making their move.. Expect more

The Millionaires’ Tax passed by the House represents historic progress in rebalancing our unfair system. It sends significant dollars back to Washington families and small businesses. It expands the Working Families Tax Credit to 460,000 additional households – that’s money straight back into the pockets of working families. It saves working parents money and ensures our kids are prepared to learn by funding free breakfast and lunch for all Washington K-12 students, which has been a priority of mine since I ran for governor. The Millionaires’ Tax will apply to less than one half of one percent of Washingtonians, but make life more affordable for millions. I look forward to signing it.

"Millionaire's Tax" is disingenuous political propaganda. It's a fully fledged income tax with all the bureaucratic infrastructure required to administer such a tax. It just happens to have a temporary 1 million dollar deduction, which can easily be swept away with a simple majority vote. Your party repeatedly refused to bind itself to this income tax applying only to millionaires. Why? Because you've tried to create an progressive income tax in Washington state for decades and that's your goal. You did all this knowing full well this tax is unconstitutional. Yet you did it anyway because your party has spent years stacking the state supreme court so that it is no longer an independent judicial body but a mere rubber stamp to the legislature. You knew you could rely on this rubber stamp. Congratulations, you have won. And the losers are the people and economy of Washington state. You have destroyed a century of state tradition and single handedly removed one of our most powerful business advantages for attracting and keeping talent in our state.
