@robinebers @kr0der my experience too, Cursor cloud is exceptionally good and stable, with the recordings/demos as first class feature Codex claude is half backed and glitches badly all the time

my new AI combo at the moment: $200 Codex - the app is literally insanely good, i'm never changing unless someone releases a model that's an absurd leap over GPT or another app matches the Codex app functionalities/experience $100 Claude - for frontend and for starting side projects $60 Cursor ($20 sub + $40 Bugbot) - Composer 2.5 is amazing but man the Codex app is just so good that it's hard to swap. I'm testing it more and may upgrade to the $200 sub - we'll see. I'm upgrading to annual soon to lock in $40/m Bugbot

It’s Codex Thursday, and yes, we have updates for you. First up: Appshots, a new way to bring the context of what you’re working on into Codex. On your Mac, press Command-Command to attach your app window to a Codex thread. Codex gets both a screenshot and text from the window, including content beyond what’s visible onscreen. Appshots are available across plans on Mac, with enterprise access coming soon.

@did0f also interesting q: which model does the compacting? same as currently selected or some special mode trained on compacting?

Codex curiosity: does /compact vary if I change the intelligence level? I mean, is an "Intelligence Low” /compact worse than a “Intelligence High” one?

I built a personal-use site trained on two years of posts from @adamlyttleapps and @seraleev. It's been genuinely useful for extracting insights and unsticking problems on my own app. I want to be upfront that I did this without asking. It was strictly for personal use and learning. I don't know if it could ever become a product, since Grok already does something similar across all of X. The difference with mine is precision: I can configure it to pull up to 30 sources per answer, and it follows reply chains and full threads, not just isolated posts. Next on the list are founders who post about ads and marketing for apps. I'm pretty bad with video and campaign ideas, so any suggestions are very welcome haha.

@sapjax1 @oasisfeng yep: remote-control now requires the managed standalone layout at~/.codex/packages/standalone/current/codex kinda confusing :) codex cli, codex standalone layout, but it works

@oasisfeng This command requires the standalone install managed by the Codex installer, because the daemon starts and updates app-server from that fixed path.

Finally! 这就是 Codex 部署在 Mac mini 上的价值,环境统一了。

What do you mean Codex remote stores the connections in the ChatGPT account and not on each device??? So if anyone hacks my ChatGPT account not only they can get all my chats but they can also get access to Codex in my computer???

Robin Ebers • AI for Non-Coders
very disappointed by this codex release it now has a mobile app, but it’s super buggy, doesn’t refresh, the UX was clearly not tested enough please don’t turn thursday into slop releases. would rather wait a few more weeks to get this done right instead few examples: - projects don’t sync reliably - app shows threads from weeks ago that codex doesn’t show and there’s no archive all button - adding a new project requires a full path in a dialog this ain’t it chief

You've been asking for this one... Now in preview: Codex in the ChatGPT mobile app. Start new work, review outputs, steer execution, and approve next steps, all from the ChatGPT mobile app. Codex will keep running on your laptop, Mac mini, or devbox.

@steipete Peter, I never comment on anything on X but I'm genuinely curious. How come after every update most of us have to spend an hour trying to fix our OpenClaw? Is it my Openclaw set up that is the issue or am I just doing the updated incorrectly?

We've been working really hard on performance, reliability, security, and stability. Invented whole new automation flows with crabbox, automated video QA and are spending insane amounts of CPU cycles on CI. It's a good release.

Effective today, we are: 1) Doubling Claude Code’s 5-hour rate limits for Pro, Max, and Team plans; 2) Removing the peak hours limit reduction on Claude Code for Pro and Max plans; and 3) Substantially raising our API rate limits for Opus models.

I recommend buying a developer account through the Apple Developer mobile app. Registration isn’t exactly complicated, it’s just buggy (trust me, you can get stuck for 2 months), but if you purchase it through the mobile app it’s just a regular subscription: fewer errors, no iTunes support calls, no chasing your $99.
