Spent half my life in Pg and Esther’s inn was the coolest hotel, has two pretty big like eight storey tall water slides and was all tiki hut Hawaiian style everywhere with fake streams with bridges and whatnots. Looks like the owners have become foreigners like everything else tho

🚨 You can’t make this up. I caught a hotel worker at the Super 8 / Easters Inn in Prince George allegedly pouring yellow paint into BC sewer drains. Management denied it. The owner admitted it was wrong after seeing my camera… then allegedly tried offering me free hotel stays to keep quiet. This is EXACTLY why independent journalists matter. drewcouver.com

@PhillipJoy40266 @VancouverSun Probably not. I personally think APTN would be a better vehicle for programs relating to parenting and becoming a productive member of society. Even teaching sessions. But garbage like this just fosters ongoing hatred.

I stood up to speak against Bill 20 going forward in this session, as it is a completely broken treaty and does not require the Komoks band to give up anything in order get more land, power, and money. The BC NDP were highly agitated by my comments for delaying this treaty and tried to interrupt me multiple times. I guess I can fill a room anywhere in British Columbia including, getting BC NDP MLAs to enter the house just to try and disrupt my speech.

@NewWorldHominin I'm just wondering, was this story aired on any of the legacy media stations? I know CBC did their little clip, but I haven't seen any other news except what we're seeing on social media. ??

@JohnRustad4BC I've been saying for over a year now that we on the same trajectory as what happened in S. Africa. Listen to Jordan Peterson's Youtube: "South Africa: What the West Needs to Learn". The parallels are uncanny and very scary.

The forced renaming push in Okanagan Falls and the slow-motion cultural erasure happening in Powell River aren’t “reconciliation.” They’re the predictable, toxic outcome of the NDP’s DRIPA law turning grievance politics into a permanent, legally enforceable regime of racial preference and top-down control. DRIPA didn’t create some gentle framework for “dialogue.” It weaponized the UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples into binding provincial law that overrides everything else. That’s why Okanagan Falls, a community that just voted to incorporate as B.C.’s newest municipality, suddenly finds its own name on the chopping block. The Osoyoos Indian Band’s leadership made it crystal clear: Chief Clarence Louie said reconciliation and Indigenous rights “aren’t up for a vote.” Translation: local residents who actually live there, pay taxes there, and built the place get no say. The province is now haggling over a dual-name compromise because the law demands it. This isn't democracy.

@cbcwatcher Frances, perhaps CBC could develop a new practice where they go and check on the publicly funded projects. To ensure no laws or ethical codes are being broken. Ie/There was a child in Lindsay's session repeating inappropriate sentences & she was too young to even understand.

Widdowson last evening on the CBC/APTN/NTV1 taxpayer funded revenge production. The pool of targets grows to include multiple retired RCMP officers... she expects some will speak out in the next few days "So the situation, as far as I understand it, is involves probably six retired RCMP officers." "The RCMP Veterans association send, sent out a notice to all its members asking if they wanted to participate in the, the film documentary called After the Call" This group clearly deceived a lot of people. "Is it you damage someone psychologically and then you cut them a check? That's disgusting." @presidentCBCRC @FrancesWiddows1 @NewWorldHominin

They should be legally required to allow the individuals they filmed to view the footage. Obviously, a massive privacy violation has occurred here, and they can’t simply sweep it under the rug. And by the way, they’ve already admitted to wasting millions of dollars on this project that seems to be nothing more than a political hit job. Said before, but imagine having a budget of $2.5 million-$5 million and filming this trash. It’s not even a “prank“ show it’s just harassment since at no point is somebody being made a fool of because of their own words or actions. It’s simply getting somebody into a studio so you can throw baby shoes onto a table or have someone say racist things in front of them which by implication somehow makes them racist.

They have paused production on the vengeful CBC/APTN "prank show" so that the CBC can review the footage that has been filmed so far. The CBC must be honest with themselves about what this project is (a vehicle to shame people in certain careers like policing and ridicule people with heterodox views, all using taxpayer dollars) when they decide to proceed with this show or not. I call on the CBC to release a thorough statement telling us what exactly they saw in the footage they reviewed once they have done so. Speaking for myself, I don't mind if they air it. I know the hatefulness of the producers will reveal itself.

Juri has the most charisma and raw political talent to win in the general, plus he’s got the right attitude on the most critical issue we face. Can he be trusted? Honestly, can any of them? Is he in contention? Who knows. He will be somewhere on my ballot.

I will repeal DRIPA & enshrine property rights into law. But that’s only Step One. As Premier, I would immediately stop the voluntary transfer of land & cash payments to First Nations Bands in BC while major questions around aboriginal title & private property are unresolved.

Happily Married 🥂 After 10 years, I finally married my best friend. She’s been with me through my undergraduate degree, law degree, podcast, joining council, becoming Chief. She was with me when I had nothing but a vision. We lived in a small 2 bedroom apartment with my mom 8 years ago. Now we have a house, a puppy, and a life we’re so proud of. I am a blessed man and I know it.

"In a normal world, this might be no more than a matter for civil litigation. But in the taxpayer-funded, subsidized world of Canada in 2026, it’s bigger than that. The producer of the planned mockumentary was making the show, or series, for broadcast on APTN and CBC (entertainment departments, not news), both of which depend on federal agency funding. Additional financial support was provided by the federal Department of Heritage." @Pagmenzies /2

The CBC and APTN "prank show" that is deceiving its targets through elaborate schemes to punish them for their views and humiliate them will cost $2.5-$5million. It is likely mostly or entirely taxpayer money but the producers are welcome to chime in about their funding.

Wow. Just f'king wow. The lengths to which revenge minded idiots with the backing of the CBC's purse will go to try to humiliate people who have already been canceled "...it's one thing to be pranked as a passerby on the street, but it's quite another for a government backed, government funded entity to use fake identities, fake websites, fake company names, etc." "I don't know, how does it look good for indigenous filmmakers to hire Americans with Canadians tax dollars to attack Canada's founding father and anyone who supports him. So I don't get it." CBC needs to own this shitshow and stop trying to pretend it's arms length. The independent producer handbook from CBC shows that there is a CBC exec overseeing this once in production. Call this producer before the Heritage Committee Watch it all and demand this project release the unedited footage of the attempted targeting @PresidentCBCRC @CBCOmbud @RachaelThomasAB

@AaronGunn I think we should all send letters. The list of ethical violations is as long as your arm. This show was vetted for funding using a description that did not reveal that people would be mislead or humiliated. Everything about it was outside of the standards of conduct.

Today, I sent a letter to the CBC Ombudsman demanding an explanation and accountability for the use of taxpayer money to mislead, deceive and lie to Canadian citizens, including Members of Parliament, in attempts to trick them into participating in a fake documentary smearing the reputation of Canada's first prime minister. I look forward to her response.

@wyatt_claypool Did anyone in emergency say they would come out? I know the woman with the mask was causing problems but I wondered if anyone said they would help. Would it make a difference if you called 911 to report it? I have no idea, I'm just wondering how to get help for that person.

The system cares is more about hiding the suffering of addicts that it enables then actually helping them. They had just “discharged” the woman lying on the street right next to the hospital and they claimed that she was “resting.” That’s what a villain would say when justifying the neglect of someone they were supposed to look after.
