@HairyCooIII @DaveMilbo Speaking of immature....
Are you denying their desire to open up immigration, or make sure we cover every single minority imaginable, even the made up ones? Also, considering I lived in the only Greens' council in Australia, I saw first hand what they think of driving.
English

@HairyCooIII @DaveMilbo Nope. That's a great one. They have a few, actually. However, immature policies like let's open the borders and all live in harmony, or let's introduce intersectionality into broader society, or let's make it difficult to drive cars so people use other means of transport.
English

@padspencer @DaveMilbo So these immature policies.
Like not accepting bribes from fossil fuel companies to do their bidding. Which means Australia gives away a lot of its resources for free, and remains stuck on fossil fuels with their high prices and shortages, the impact of which we are seeing now.
English

@JohnAndersonAC @FreyaThinks @clairlemon This is the Australian version of the deep state, and as such it's a bit shit.
English

@FreyaThinks and @clairlemon discuss the fracturing of the Right and the rise of figures like Candace Owens and Tucker Carlson.
English

@matt_barrie We should be fine. It's not like we're isolated at the arse end of the world or anything. We can buy heaps from NZ. Right?
English

@loadshift This means nothing without context. What would this cost if orange man was not compromised?
English

Caddy has just run into an open goal and managed to hit the post from 5 metres out. Wow, this is just rock bottom stuff for the Bombers. Unbelievable. #AFLPowerDons

@DaveMilbo @RonniSalt @abcnews Albo and Burke know there's nothing they can say to make it right, so they sit there paralysed. Their lack of conviction and morals are completely exposed.
English

Footage from @abcnews this morning shows Anthony Albanese and Tony Burke booed & heckled in a western Sydney mosque.
As organisers tried to keep calm, people heckled the two over their involvement in Gaza, screaming:
"You don't even represent us"
"What are you doing here?"
.
English

@rohan_connolly Spot on, Ro Ro. There was a time when you'd be salivating at the bit for footy to return, now they've made it feel irrelevant. Both games have been woeful and the only one that feels interesting on paper is Saints Collingwood.
English

Seriously, stuff Opening Round. Yeah, I'm a traditionalist, but AFL's got too clever by half drip feeding a season start to select markets & somehow diminishing the buzz around a new year. Just more 'content'. We should be lapping up every kick. But it feels ho-hum. #AFLSunsCats

English

@TMFScottP It's really not difficult. The more you incentivise buying houses for profit the higher prices go. If anything, there should be getting tax breaks for buying your first house. Everything else is free market.
English

@PrepperCanadian @StephanAJensen Lol. Money is not real. Freedom is.
English

@TimWilsonMP @JEChalmers Can you imagine if this guy became treasurer? Actually, don't worry about it. It's never going to happen. As poor as Labor are right now, the LNP are so much worse, even on their best day.
English

The debt rot started under @JEChalmers as Wayne Swan’s adviser. Most people would be sacked for sending a nation into a trajectory of unsustainable debt. Under Labor Chalmers got promoted to Treasurer and has poured debt petrol onto the inflation bonfire. abc.net.au/news/2026-02-1…
English

@padspencer @taipan168 Why don't you have a problem with industry super funds getting free tax credits?
If you don't you are nothing but a shameless hypocrite.
English

“Cut government spending. Just not my government spending!”. 😂
The only category that has majority support for cuts is foreign aid, but look how tiny it is as a % of the total budget. The next most supported was renewable energy programs, ditto.

English

@SecularConserv1 @DavidShoebridge Lol. The lengths you liars go to.
English

@carterhelen780 @taipan168 I was wondering when you would show up to claim your right to free money.
English

@padspencer @taipan168 Labor will never end franking credits for industry super funds. moneymag.com.au/keep-franking-…

@Wongle_ @pickwickpick @Lookinupatstars @adamndsmith Been watching the news lately? The law is clearly applied only to some.
English

@pickwickpick @Lookinupatstars @adamndsmith That's the law, campaign to get it changed if it bothers you. Roll shoplifting in with it if you want to increase public support for the cause

"Serial rail fare evader fined £3,600 over 112 unpaid tickets" is the headline. At around £30 per trip, that's a pretty good deal
But you read the story, and it's a guy that's been homeless for three years, sleeping rough on trains, in hospitals and in libraries.
He's been ordered to pay the fine, but won't have to pay the £15,000 in prosecution costs, which comes from the state.
And we're supposed to think our justice system is working? That £15,000 couldn't have been spent actually helping this guy, and many others like him?
No, instead we'll hound someone for money they don't have. Like they do to all of us, these days.

@RhondaGarad @AlboMP Ignored it like they ignored Zomi. Herzog was probably laughing internally.
English

So, if @AlboMP brought up the bulldozing of the Gaza cemetery with #Herzog, what was the outcome? Are they going to restore it? Did he apologize, or did he just ignore it? theguardian.com/australia-news…
