Here for the torture I guess. 2nd attempt. When I realized people are constantly lying, including those I admire, I lost trust. Canada = Venezuela

I listened to Canada's 24th Prime Minister Sunday forward guidance. It was measured, sober and aspirational. When I look at leaders around the world - case in point, the U.S. - I'm grateful to be a Canadian.
Mark Carney@MarkJCarney

During the Global Financial Crisis, when there was a real risk of panic, I developed a practice called ‘forward guidance.’ The situation we find ourselves in today demands the same. Watch the full video on YouTube: youtu.be/uk2TZwkhi4E

🚨BREAKING🚨 Apparently @JeffEvely was right, and the ENTIRE NOVA SCOTIA government was wrong. A Nova Scotia Supreme Court Judge basically told Tim Houston... "Yeahhhhhhhhh, No!" The Premiere fined Jeff $28 872.50 for basically walking outside! Stupidity has no party!🙃

@JohnRustad4BC my family will not vote conservative as long as aaliya warbus is sitting. We can’t even call her a Trojan horse because she is quite open to spreading lies, make believe and fairytales. Be conservative @JohnRustad4BC or get out

‘Memorandum For The Prime Minister’ said temporary permit holders would total 2,069,477 after peaking at 2,961,000 in 2024. Figure is in addition to 380,000 landed immigrants let into Canada under 2026 quota.

Foreigners in Canada on temporary permits will number 2,069,477 this year even with quota cuts, Access to Information records show. PM @MarkJCarney imposed cuts after complaining the “system isn’t working.” blacklocks.ca/count-2m-here-… #ATI #cdnfoi @CitImmCanada

Danielle Smith claims to care about youth unemployment, but it’s risen sharply since she became premier. One in five young men can’t find a job. For those lucky enough to find work, we have the lowest minimum wage in the country, an even lower youth wage, and paycheques that haven’t kept up with inflation. Smith and the UCP government have also shot down every proposal we’ve made to reduce youth unemployment. They’d rather focus on rigging the next election than actually solving the problems Albertans face every day.

British Columbians need to understand that the "First Nations Leadership Council" isn’t some sort of super First Nation legal body that has ultimate authority. It’s literally just a lobby group made up of three advocacy orgs: the Union of BC Indian Chiefs, the BC Assembly of First Nations, and the First Nations Summit. Mind you, none of these are actual governing bodies over B.C. First Nations or hold legal standing to speak on their behalf but the government is treating them like they're the de facto top of the chain authority. Two of these components groups are registered societies under the B.C. Societies Act. That’s it. They're not rights-bearing entities and they're definitely not the Jedi Council of aboriginals like they pretend. Eby is surrendering power over legislation to a lobby group.
David Eby@Dave_Eby

Today, the First Nations Leadership Council and I released a joint statement on DRIPA. Our government is committed to working with First Nations in B.C. in genuine collaboration to find a path forward. Read the full statement here: news.gov.bc.ca/33646

This NDP government rammed DRIPA down the throats of British Columbians by quietly amending the Interpretation Act during a state of emergency, no less. Let that sink in. While Abbotsford was underwater and the Fraser Valley looked like one giant lake back in the 2021 floods, the NDP snuck through changes to how the courts interpret DRIPA. They did it when nobody was watching, when families were sandbagging their homes and entire communities were fighting for their lives. And now? Property rights are in question across the entire province. Resource development is under threat. Investment is fleeing. The whole economy is paying the price for their ideological experiment. This government literally cannot govern. David Eby refuses to show any backbone because his own caucus is too radical to let him. He is trapped, caught between First Nations leaders, his own MLAs, and a one-seat majority that is hanging by a thread. British Columbians deserve better than this chaos. We deserve a government that puts people, jobs, and property rights first, not one that uses crises to push through radical changes and then runs for cover when the public pushes back. The NDP’s reckless approach to DRIPA has failed. It is time for real leadership in this province.

Short answer: Institutional ties between legacy media and the governing Liberals—rooted in decades of access journalism, shared Ottawa networks, and revenue from government ad buys—create structural disincentives for applying the same aggressive scrutiny now directed at Poilievre.

Canadians can't afford this costly Carney Liberal boondoggle. Scrap the $90 billion Alto project now: conservative.ca/cpc/halt-the-n…
Dan Albas@DanAlbas

Here’s my op-ed in the @nationalpost on Alto: the curious case of PM Carney jumping on a Justin Trudeau legacy project without a cost benefit analysis. This project will leave young Canadians under a mountain of debt during an affordability crisis: nationalpost.com/opinion/dan-al…

A bad look for Canada. @CanadaFP gets community noted after attempting to distance itself from Iran’s nomination to a UN committee overseeing women’s rights, terrorism prevention, and more. @MarkJCarney, @AnitaAnandMP, instead of trying to rewrite the narrative, why not acknowledge the mistake of not formally rejecting and dissociating, as the U.S. did?

He’s a convicted sex offender who pleaded guilty to felony child pornography charges and corruption of a minor. He sent over 12,000 text messages to a student. He then raised money on GoFundMe to buy a baby! Pennsylvania law does not prohibit a registered sex offender from becoming a parent through surrogacy.

Brandon Mitchell is a registered sex offender. He and partner Logan Riley hired a surrogate so they could obtain a child. Pennsylvania law prevents sex offenders from adopting children— But NOT from purchasing them via surrogacy. Child protective services should investigate immediately.

Bill C-22 creates a front door, not a back door, to Canadian's data, and it gives the keys to the government and does so in secret. These are just some of the reasons I opposed Bill C-22 today, at least in it's current form. Watch below. My thanks to @privacylawyer, @mgeist, @robertdiab, the @CDNConstFound and others for their analysis and advocacy which greatly informed my remarks. I remain open to reviewing and considering proposals for lawful access.
