Almost all of the conversation in Wisconsin's race for governor is about the Democrats. But let it be known, a showdown between David Crowley and Francesca Hong helps Tom Tiffany either way. fox6now.com/news/wisconsin…

@billienotjeane Also, it would be really bad for Hong to lose to Tiffany by like 10%. Like the Rs would look at that as having a mandate even worse than they’d look at a 0.5% margin as a mandate. Super messy situation, but Hong is, by far, the best candidate without the rest of the context.

I still haven’t seen anything about what he would do as governor, but sure the endorsements keep rollling in for a guy who polled at 3% before dropping out. They’re counting on you to not pay attention.

Democrats from Milwaukee (not named Herb Kohl) typically don't win statewide races for partisan political office. While he's certainly less scary than most of the other options, I'm not sure the Milwaukee County Executive is the guy who will change this.jsonline.com/story/news/pol…

🚨NEW ENDORSEMENT 🚨 I'm honored to have the Wisconsin Laborers' District Council join our team! 💪 "David Crowley doesn’t just talk about supporting working people, he delivers. As County Executive he has put union members to work on projects across Milwaukee County, championed apprenticeship pathways, and stood with labor on every fight that matters. The Laborers are proud to stand with David Crowley because we know he can win this race, and he will be a governor who working people can count on." - Kent Miller, President & Business Manager of the Wisconsin Laborers.

When @TomTiffanyWI says he's going to stand up to AI data center developers, I know Wisconsin voters are too smart to believe those Washington lies. I've had a plan since day one to lower costs for working families and protect our natural resources.

@miawaukee As I’ve said before. The streets of old Milwaukee aren’t anything special. Multiple museums have this same setup. Glad it’ll be changed at the new museum.

@__Baxter_ @jjb808 @UziCryptoo You’re missing the point. Seniors should be able to age in place without being pushed out due to rising property taxes. It’s trash.

PROPERTY TAXES IN AMERICA HAVE GONE TOO FAR. My parents paid off their house in 2005. They are in their 70s. They still write a $11,000 check to the county every single year just to keep living in it. That makes no sense. At some point owning a home should actually mean owning it. This kind of burden is rare outside the U.S.

@MarkPocan @derrickvanorden This is an odd response. I don’t need followers on this app. My thoughts are real though. Fran for Wisconsin is the way.

@patkreitlow @drkristinlyerly Pat, not that he shares their politics but I assume he’s heard of Tim Scott, Byron Donalds, Clarence Thomas, just the first names that come to mind. I’m more concerned about the motives of the large donors to the DEMS who made him “viable.”

Governing is about having a bold vision for our communities, yes, but it’s also about making hard decisions in complex, imperfect situations—picking the least bad option, particularly when the consequences are life and death. David is the only candidate who has that experience.

Without Act 12, the county and city would have had to make devastating cuts to bus routes, mental health programs, housing programs, library hours, etc. Not to mention huge layoffs of county staff. David saved Milwaukee County from financial catastrophe, full stop.
Ken Klippenstein@kenklippenstein

Asked what policy he's most proud of, candidate for governor of Wisconsin, David Crowley, points to a regressive sales tax hike (Act 12) and a property tax cut he pushed through. "We helped to cut taxes, the largest property tax cut in our, in our county's history."

So, if you’re keeping score at home, Wisconsinites: This dude quit the race 9 days ago and endorsed the leftist, Sara Rodriguez. But she got in campaign finance trouble (oopsie) and quit the race on Friday. That left the DSA candidate, Franscesca Wong, and another Commie, Mandela Barnes, still in. So, David here (who quit a little over a week ago) wants you to know he’s back in, by God, and he’s no quitter (except that one time). If you’re a Wisconsin Dem voter, does this disarray inspire confidence?

Today I relaunched my campaign for governor. I am deeply grateful for the enthusiastic support of so many family members, friends, colleagues, and fellow leaders. 🧵

@DRLDD It’s rather interesting how Wisconsin Democrats are fielding their candidates. Joel clearly knows he doesn’t have a chance; yet; has points very important to Democrats voters that he is trying that the remaining candidates will embrace. Absolutely!

In the words of the late, great Bob Uecker, “swing and miss,” for Crowley in his re-launch announcement. It was almost entirely SE WI focused. “We don’t have to win every county.” How ‘bout, we’re going to compete in every county? Barely a, if at all, mention of affordability issues. Nothing about connecting with the everyday struggles Wisconsinites are facing. Basically suggesting if Rep. Hong wins it’s because “the GOP picked their candidate,” which is a huge diss of & to the organization Hong has built. That alone splits the party. Rattles off a list of accomplishments with no specific examples. Then finishes with, “I’m David Crowley, endorsed by Tony Evers…” Really?! He wants to run on being Evers’ pick? Okayyy. I said when he got out, I thought Crowley was the greatest missed potential in this race & also had the greatest potential for the future. From what I’ve been told by those who know & have watched him, his first try was over-handled by consultants & not enough of “David being David.” I don’t see any lesson learned in race 2.0.
