@chriswithans Hmm, I wonder who had the highest post Covid deficit? Who was president last year again? Oh yeah.

The only spending increases Republicans engage in is for the military, which you should support. But you’re a Bidenholic so everything you say has to be apologetics for him even though his post-COVID deficits were the highest ever on record. And he reached for even more.
Conor Friedersdorf@conor64

A different perspective: your children *will be burdened* by the vast deficit spending Trump has engaged in and the vast increase in the debt he irresponsibly accrued far more than this speculative, paranoid nonsense.

Nearly every one of us who faced a J6 kangaroo court saw exculpatory evidence suppressed by the DOJ and Court. Judges successfully suppress the truth by keeping evidence like this “under seal,” hoping the truth never sees the light of day. Truth is never the first priority in DC. Brave lawyers, there. God speed to them.

@ClayTravis This is literally, and I mean literally, the same argument people use to try to justify banning semiautomatic weapons.

Reality: If Congress had known in 1868 that one day people from foreign countries could travel to the US while nine months pregnant — stay for a couple of days — and then return to a foreign country & retain US citizenship for life they would have unanimously rejected it.

The Supreme Court’s debate today: What did people who have been dead for 150 years intend for their law to mean for a modern situation they never conceived could ever occur?

@RussHickson @mattyglesias @ChaimKatz7 Well we didn't end up in a war before we left the JCPOA, and ended up in one after, so what the evidence actually suggests is that leaving the JCPOA hurtled us towards war.

@ryanb1188 @mattyglesias @ChaimKatz7 No, we can not possibly know that. However, given Iran's continued ballistic missile devolvement, stockpiling of offensive weapons, and history. I find it hard to believe that we wouldn't have ultimately found ourselves in this position. To believe otherwise, one must be a fool.

Again, sincerely asking just one (1) JCPOA opponent to stop lying about the sequence of events here. JCPOA happened. Some people didn’t like it. Proponents said “the realistic alternative to this is war.” Opponents angrily denied that. And now here we are._
Russell Hickson@RussHickson

@mattyglesias It was not a flip flop, arguments against the JCPOA always included a credible threat to deter Iranian aggression. In 2015 Trump argued the US should not take military options off the table. Trump never ruled out strikes, this year he saw the opening, and need and took it.

@RussHickson @mattyglesias @ChaimKatz7 We dropped out of the deal and are now at war, and this is somehow proof that the war wouldn't have been avoided if we had stayed in the deal? lol

@mattyglesias @ChaimKatz7 You claimed there was a flip flop on those opposed. When those opposed always maintained a credible threat must be maintained. Could a better deal have been made, I can't say. However, the JCPOA clearly did not avoid war, anyone that claimed it would was clearly naive.

Trump threatened to cut off the economy’s hand (Liberation Day) and then people freaked out, and then he said “fine fine I’ll just chop off the economy’s pinkie above the knuckle” (the adjusted exempted tariffs) and then the economy got worse at everything involving the full use of five fingers (manufacturing etc), and Oren Cass is triumphant that this is a victory for all advocates of digital amputation.

1/10 This week marks one year since Liberation Day. You may recall predictions of doom from economists, and constant claims of failure from commentators, so let's take a look at the actual economic data from the past year, shall we? 🧵

@Evan15278282 @NOTdaRealGil I don't really care if someone has one, but I will never use a 14 slot bag. Absolute nightmare to use for me. Tried one for 2 rounds and sold it.

@ryanb1188 @NOTdaRealGil Listen I'm a golf purist but putter in the bottom slot has always made the most sense to me. 14 way dividers or silencer bags and cart bags/staff bags are my only bag pet peeves

@Hell_Plus @iloveairbagged Highguard and Concord both had some of the worst character designs around. Both were poorly made in an already saturated market of hero shooters. Highguard specifically had absolutely massive maps but only 3v3 which was retarded and a bad choice. And both shut down very fast.

I find it fascinating that the three guys responsible for the vast majority of "professional election analysis" in this country over the last 40+ years - Charlie Cook, Larry Sabato, and Stu Rothenberg - all had their brains utterly broken by Donald Trump.

2) is ridiculously false. Read the story. 1) Trump in his five years in office has spent $253 million playing golf. That is 632 years of presidential salary.
J@JayTC53

@NewsWire_US 1. Trump doesn't take a salary 2. Joe Biden spent 40% of his "Presidency" on vacation costing WAY more money to the tax payer. Nice try.
