In the city getting my car serviced today. The New Orleans accent is one of the very strangest. And I say this as someone who grew up in a place with an intense accent (Long Island, New York).
The Atlanta Beltline being this packed with people at 7pm on a TUESDAY is just a delight. Every restaurant along the trail is packed, people everywhere socializing and being humans together. The dichotomy of this experience against Atlanta Freeway Hell just boggles the mind.
“And so you touch this limit, something happens and you suddenly can go a little bit further. With your mind power, your determination, your instinct, and the experience as well, you can fly very high.” ~Ayrton Senna.

@MyGolfSpy My second set of clubs. The "Gear Effect" as I was told. Boy were they forgiving since my first set were my brothers hand-me-down Hogan Apex. Blades. Sweet spot the size of a dime.
🚨 URGENT: THE NEXT 48 HOURS COULD CHANGE EVERYTHING 🚨

@wxmanvic I don't love how people jump from "cutting funding to a crucial service is bad" to "NWS can't be trusted anymore".
The NWS is the better at what they do than any equivalent organization in the world by a gargantuan margin. You can push for more funding without undermining that.
How far has the US National Weather Service fallen? At 12z on 5/10, the Mexican Servicio Meteorologico Nacional has a far more robust Upper Air data set than the US. 10 states from AZ/NM to Canada have ZERO data. This w/an elevated risk of severe wx across much of TX.#txwx
The radical, miserable left has noticed our awesome Great American Road Trip trailer…
and they hate it.
It’s too wholesome.
It’s too patriotic.
It’s too joyful.
They’re upset because they don’t want you to celebrate America! And they definitely don’t want you to teach your kids civics & patriotism. So they tell lies to undermine the mission.
Here are the facts:
1. Production costs were paid for by the Great American Road Trip Inc., not taxpayers. Zero taxpayer dollars were spent on my family.
2. Neither myself nor my family received a salary or production royalties. The five part series will be freely accessible by the public on YouTube.
3. The series was filmed in short, one to two day production windows — such as weekends and the kids’ spring break.
4. Career ethics and budget officials at the Department of Transportation reviewed and approved both my participation and individual travel in accordance with federal rules.
5. Under my leadership, DOT has become the most responsive, productive, and transformational in its history — modernizing air traffic control, hiring 20% more controllers annually than my predecessor, moving grants at record speed, and removing illegal truck drivers from the road.
Don’t let the haters stop you from visiting our spectacular national parks, monuments and sights in honor of America’s 250th birthday!
Our message is really simple: to love America is to see America. So put the phone down, hit the open road, and rediscover what makes America great.
Yes, what you are seeing here is a captured Japanese Zero with American markings.
In 1942 a Japanese pilot crashed it in Alaska.
The Americans rebuilt it and flew it across California for the next two years.
What they discovered changed the Pacific war.
This is the story of the Akutan Zero..🧵1/4
🚨Farmers are sounding the alarm — and nobody’s listening.
American farmer, Julius Ray Tucker, just tested his soil & found 5X more aluminum than last year. His GMO seeds grow perfectly, but his heirloom crops are dying.
— Meanwhile, Bill Gates is pushing GMO seeds engineered to thrive in aluminum-rich soil. And geoengineering delivering that aluminum from our skies.
We are being ruled by extremely evil people who want ONLY their GMO seeds to grow. They want total control of our food, our skies, the air, our soil & what gets injected into our bodies.
RFK Jr & Head of the EPA Lee Zeldin both promised to stop them from spraying chemicals in our skies. They need to make faster changes.
Celebrate Mother’s Day 2026 with a heartfelt message from Coach Paul “Bear” Bryant.

🇮🇹 Ferrari F40 LM
1 of 19
The footage of ex F1 driver Jacques Laffite driving the Ferrari F40 LM is widely considered one of the most visceral and iconic pieces of automotive film recorded.
Filmed in December 1992 for the French TV show Turbo, the sequence features the former F1 driver pushing the ultra-exclusive racer around the Mas du Clos circuit in France.
The Vehicle: F40 LM (Le Mans)
While the standard F40 was already a legend, the LM (built by Michelotto) was a different beast entirely
Upgraded to roughly 720–780 hp (compared to the road car's 471 hp).
Stripped down to approximately 1,050 kg.
Equipped with a non-synchromesh (dog-ring) gearbox, requiring precise heel-and-toe shifting.
Featured a more aggressive front splitter, an adjustable rear wing, and fixed headlights to replace the pop-ups.
Laffite famously drives the car wearing casual slacks and deck shoes (loafers), without a helmet or fire suit, contrasting sharply with the car’s brutal nature.
You can see Laffite physically wrestling with the heavy steering and the "recalcitrant" gearbox, demonstrating the immense skill required to manage the massive turbo lag and mechanical grip.
The F40 LM driven by Laffite in that session (Chassis #79891) remains a "holy grail" for Ferrari collectors, representing the peak of the analog supercar era.

@gabe_cyco198vet@PoliceIncident That is terrifying. There has to be consequences for that. And don’t just send that deputy to a shoot house to train, send the whole squad.
High-Speed Pursuit Ends in Deadly Officer-Involved Shooting
On April 28, 2026, at approximately 2:37 p.m., in Olympia, Thurston County, Washington, a Thurston County Sheriff’s Office deputy attempted a traffic stop on Yelm Highway Southeast for a vehicle traveling about 90 mph in a 35 mph zone. The driver, Todd Bass, 44, of Lacey, fled, leading to a high-speed pursuit. Both the deputy’s vehicle and Bass’s vehicle crashed near Morse-Merryman Road Southeast and Hoffman Road Southeast in the 3200 block, close to Margaret McKenny Elementary School, just after 2:40 p.m. Bass fled on foot into a nearby backyard. Deputies heard shots fired. Three TCSO deputies — Civil Service Deputy Jordan Goss, 33 (12 years with the department); Patrol Deputy Marlon Wakefield, 30 (7 years); and Patrol Deputy Jacob Domeno, 27 — pursued on foot and fired, striking Bass. He died at the scene. No deputies were injured.
