Is there anyone interested in @CanalBoxUG fibre internet modems. I bought two that I would like to get rid of. I don't think their service suits me. Inbox. Maybe someone else might have better luck with them.

@realThasanta @ZeeroBrain That's as far as many projects go - having a pretty picture. BTW the real thing looks quite close to the image if you use your imagination

The Hand of Genocide. This is the reality. The US Ambassador Robert Wood vetoes a @UN Security Council resolution for an immediate ceasefire of the Israeli genocide in Gaza. Robert Wood has raised his hand on behalf of genocide repeatedly. What must it feel like to lie in bed at night and know that you have sanctioned the further murder of thousands till the next resolution comes for you to put your hand up. This is the hand of genocide.

The big lesson we’ve learned from Kiteezi tragedy is the critical need for a buffer zone. When acquiring land for a new waste facility, we will ensure almost a 500meter buffer to protect the community by restricting access and minimizing any risks.#ForABetterCity #TheCapitalGang

𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐤 𝐦𝐞 𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫 ‼️ @RwenzoriUg @CocaColaBevUg @minutemaidID Over the years, I’ve made it my mission to contribute to saving Mother Nature by carefully collecting and storing every plastic bottle that has entered my home. These bottles, all Coca-Cola products—ranging from Fanta Orange to Minute Maid and Renzori Mineral Water—have filled my garage, and now, I'm calling out to a recycling company that can take them and ensure they are disposed of properly. This small effort to save these bottles from ending up in rivers, landfills, or on our streets is my way of contributing to the preservation of our environment. But I know I can’t do it alone. We need collective action and responsible waste management practices to protect Uganda’s beauty and the health of our people. If you’re a recycling company or know of one that can assist, please reach out. Let’s work together to make sure these bottles find their way to a place where they can be recycled and repurposed. Our environment depends on the actions we take today for the future we want to see tomorrow. #SaveMotherNature #RecycleForUganda #WasteManagement #KampalaGarbageExhibition #CocaColaProducts #EnvironmentFirst #ClimateEmergency #ClimateActionNow #ClimateCrisis

@DailyMonitor @KCCAUG The problem of garbage disposal can be solved by the government or KCCA alone, not until the citizens of this country learn how to sort out what's degradable and what can be recycled ♻️. Citizens need to make garbage disposal easier for collectors.

STUPIDITY CLASS ONE!!! A nursery/primary teacher must have a degree. MP, president need A level certificate. Amazing how law makers are making fools of themselves. A degree paper qualification for all, except themselves . Imagine a country where a chair of an ICT Committee in parliament who can't even open his own Gmail, but part of a house pressing primary teachers to get degrees. Prayers alone can't save our Country. @Parliament_Ug @Educ_SportsUg @Thomas_Tayebwa @AnitahAmong @StateHouseUg @JanetMuseveni @KagutaMuseveni @mkainerugaba @BalaamAteenyiDr @Afriquie @idringp @CAbavandimwe

@regesa @KCCAUG_ There are many unnamed roads, instead of changing old names of roads, how about we expand city planning beyond kololo and give names to new roads.

In 2017, my company Vianca Consults Ltd was in charge of providing technology for a modern media centre in Kololo as the country hosted her first ever IAAF World Cross Country Championships. We had also built and the main event website. On the D-day, with President @KagutaMuseveni and First Lady @JanetMuseveni in attendance, Cheptegei’s race started. I had been tipped off by friends in Sports Journalism that our Medal hopes rested on Cheptegei and Kiplimo. As soon as I saw Cheptegei on the starting line, I stood up. I was expectant. I was anxious. I believed he was on the cusp of making history on home soil. As the race got underway, Cheptegei took an early lead. The young man continued to pull away from the chasing pack. His lead looked insurmountable. Every person in Kololo stood up except the President. Cheptegei had the nation on our feet. We cheered. We chanted his name. Everyone did. Fellow athletes, international journalists, service providers, police and army men and @WorldAthletics officials were all on their feet waiting for that moment when they would see history unfold. Boom, with a few laps to go, the undesirable happenned! Our boy Cheptegei abruptly slowed down. Our hearts were broken. A sombre mood engulfed Kololo. The hopes of a nation had just vanished. It was an orgasm that never happened. The injured Cheptegei soldiered on to finish 30th. He was mocked by Ugandans watching on TV. He was called names. Those of us at the venue felt a little more compassionate. His victory that never was became the subject of discussion between the SFC officers and my team for the rest of the day. The SFC officers claimed that Mzee would have rewarded him handsomely had he made history!! Mzee could hear our banter because we were barely 10 m behind him on the Kololo Terrace. As the years have gone by, man Cheptegei has acquitted himself, marketed this country and earned his seat at the table of world greats in the long races. His name is now in the league of Mo Farah, Kenenisa Bekele and Haile Gebrselassie. From the Commonwealth games to the IAAF World Championships and now the Olympics, man Cheptegei has won it all and turned around the ‘misfortune’ on home soil to global stardom and earned the status of Uganda’s Greatest athlete of ALL Time (G.O.A.T)! Hats off to the man. @KCCAUG, the man deserves a road named after him in the City. Why not rename Prince Charles Drive in Kololo to Joshua Cheptegei Road? Do you now see the link to Kololo?

BREAKING: El Salvador President Nayib Buekele issues statement saying they will NOT recognize the fraudulent election results from Nicolás Maduro's socialist Venezuela "What we saw yesterday in Venezuela has no other name than fraud. An “election” where the official result has no relation to reality. Something obvious to anyone. We broke diplomatic relations with Maduro 4 years ago. We will not reopen them until their people can elect their leaders in real elections."

1. there is alot of cash right now chasing bonds investments and this is leading to rates dropping down. Govt got a 1.8 trillion offering and took only 750 billion. It seems there is too much liquidity in the economy and this is leading to interest rates falling.
Rugaba Agaba@RugabaAgaba

Chief, kindly advise on 2 questions. 📌 The ratings downgrade by Moody hasn't had any impact on interest rates? The direction of the yield seems to defy the downgrade. 📌 Is that 10 year bond paying something soon? How is it yielding that masavu with it's coupon rate & premium price?

President @KagutaMuseveni has exposed the main perpetrators of corruption in Uganda. According to the President, the current problem of corruption in the country is mainly being spearheaded by the Permanent Secretaries, Chief Administrative Officers (CAOs), Town Clerks and Gombolola Chiefs. “These are the four people in Uganda who are in charge of government money, personnel, jobs and procurement. So, the corruption which is happening is because of these four and unfortunately, they have let themselves down but we are here. I have your support and that of the freedom fighters and the victims are also there so the three of us, we are going to crush the corrupt,” he said. Read More: nrm.ug/blog/president…
