Your average person has no idea what's coming. They think the human brain is something special - some unknowable, mysterious thing, and that since we don't understand it, AI is incapable of replicating functionally what it does. Your average normie is going to have pretty much all of their preconceptions about reality absolutely shattered over the next few years. There is nothing special about intelligence, it can, and already has, been replicated on a computer.

@icpolicy Try Clementine 3.1, I really liked this player back in the day. I just downloaded windows version from 2016 and it worked flawlessly under wine without any errors. Linux version just won't run, because it dynamically links against some ancient versions of some bullshit libraries

A lot of cope around Linux userspace ABI today. Cope and argue all you want, but a graphical program that was compiled and worked 10 years ago, just wouldn't run on Linux today, unless it is win32 application. Think about it.

I think a lot of people don't realize that there are quite a few bits about Odin I don't like either. Odin isn't "perfected for me" but rather I've made design decisions to prevent the madness of others. If Odin was a language just for me, it wouldn't be exactly what it is now.

@TheGingerBill @machinamentum @ThePrimeagen I was genuinely amazed when I discovered Odin uses `..=` and `..<` for ranges in for loops. It's so consistent, it's crazy that no other language (that I know of) does it.

@machinamentum @ThePrimeagen 2 in fact: `:` vs `in` AND `..` vs `..=` But obviously I've tried to optimize for clarity and lack of confusion, and `..` is actually confusing because it means different things in different languages.
