The $4k IRMAA increase is only the start. The real hit is $15k–$25k+ per year in extra taxes when the $143k RMD pushes pension and up to 85% of Social Security into higher brackets. That money goes straight to the government instead of family or charity. Letting the $3.8M grow to $10M sounds good, but it just makes the future RMD tax drag even larger. Gradual Roth conversions in the next 11 years let him control the rate and keep more for his family.

Client retires at 64. Has a pension. Doesn't need his $3.8M IRA. "I'll just let it grow." At 75, the IRS disagrees. Required Minimum Distribution: $143,000. He doesn't want it. Doesn't need it. But he has no choice. That $143K gets added to his pension income. Pushes him into a higher bracket. Increases his Medicare premiums by $4,000/year. Makes 85% of his Social Security taxable. Between retirement and age 75 there is a window. Eleven years to do Roth conversions. Eleven years to reduce the account. Eleven years to get ahead of this. Most people don't know the window exists until it closes.

JUST IN: Brentwood Police say 'Reacher' star Alan Ritchson acted in self-defense, say no charges will be filed. The development comes as new footage appears to show Ritchson's neighbor blocking the road while he was on his motorcycle. "After reviewing available evidence, including video footage and witness statements, authorities determined that no criminal charges will be pursued," said the Brentwood Police Department. "Mr. Ritchson’s actions were found to be in self-defense." "Although a potential reckless endangerment charge was considered, Mr. Ritchson declined to pursue charges." The case has been closed.

The energy war just changed. America burns coal at night to keep the lights on while China built something different and most people have no idea it exists. In the middle of the Gobi Desert, there is a 263-meter tower surrounded by 12,000 mirrors in a perfect circle, spread across nearly 8 square kilometers of barren land. It looks like something out of a science fiction film. They are focused on a single point at the top of that tower, raising temperatures above 800 degrees Fahrenheit. That heat gets pumped into tanks filled with a special liquid salt mixture. They are using Molten salt, the same stuff ancient civilizations used to preserve food is now storing the sun's energy at 565 degrees Celsius. When the sun goes down, the plant keeps generating electricity. The molten salt stays hot for hours after sunset and drives a steam turbine on demand. This is a 100-megawatt power station that runs 24 hours a day on sunlight alone. It produces over 390 million kilowatt-hours of power every single year. Every coal plant on earth has one critical weakness, it needs fuel to burn. This plant needs nothing but the sun and a tank full of heated salt that refuses to cool down. The implications are enormous. The oldest argument against solar energy has always been: "What happens at night?" China just answered that question with 12,000 mirrors and a tower visible from space.

The world's largest utility company just eliminated one of the most dangerous jobs on earth. China's State Grid which controls power for 1.1 billion people has deployed robotic electricians across 26 provinces and counting. These machines work on live, 10,000-volt wires while the power stays fully on. Before this, the workers who did this job wore full conductive armor and understood that one wrong move was fatal. Now the robot takes that risk instead. The machines strip insulation, tighten connections, and splice wires with millimeter precision, all while hanging at altitude on a live grid. They complete tasks 50 percent faster than a human crew and report a 98 percent success rate. This is already the operating standard in more than two dozen Chinese provinces. China is about to spend $554 billion upgrading its power grid between now and 2030. That is a war chest for building the most automated, AI-powered energy infrastructure in human history. Meanwhile, the United States has a shortage of 40,000 electricians and the gap is getting worse every year. China's answer to that problem is not a trade school, it is a fleet of machines that never sleeps or quits. Every other country still arguing about whether robots will replace workers is watching the answer get deployed in real time.

@HoffpaulPaul @Bitcoin_Teddy Bitcoin is only an example, usually it’s stocks. Interest rates currently below 6%. Because you don’t sell it’s likely the assets you don’t sell go up in value, often more than the interest rate. Other key feature is it’s super easy to get money once set up

@Bitcoin_Teddy Inheritance tax does not only exclude $100,000. And there is interest on any loan. Plus, it will be a high interest rate as Bitcoin is a high risk asset. So, I'm not tax expert, but I think the idea is neutral at best.

Imagine a father who secures $100,000 in spot Bitcoin. He holds the asset until the valuation hits a massive $5,000,000. Liquidating the position directly triggers devastating taxes on $4,900,000 of pure profit. So he executes the perfect institutional maneuver instead. He locks the Bitcoin in a legal trust, takes out a collateralized loan against the stack, and lives off the borrowed liquidity. Because he never executed a sale, his tax liability remains at absolute zero. Upon his death, the heirs receive the Bitcoin with a brand new cost basis set exactly at $5,000,000. The government cannot legally touch a single cent of the accumulated gain. This is exactly how generational wealth is permanently secured.

My friend Jack, was fired from a job in 2023… When he got hired again, they wanted a referral from his old job that fired him. He said he was laid off. He registered a similar looking domain, created an email mimicking a former boss's email. Gave them that and then gave his own referral when they contacted that email. He never got caught. He makes over $500K at his new job currently lol.

Very clever move by this girl; bros, watch out for this red flag. She cancels tonight’s drinks date because she’s sick. I text her “ok, feel better.” She then unprompted suggests rescheduling by doing a DINNER date, picks a nice restaurant, & sends the google link.

One of the biggest leftist myths is that advantages like parental wealth and disadvantages like past discrimination persist over many generations. They don’t. Even large inheritances wash out after a generation or two, and people revert to the station predicted by their talents.

But not everything she would have said would have been false. We're talking about one specific area of the relationship. They still, presumably built an entire life together. One lie shouldn't overshadow that. And the fact that she even came clean about it says more about her character. If he doesn't want to be with her, then he shouldn't. But the decision should be pretty easy If he doesn't want to be with her, then he shouldn't. But the decision should be pretty easy. You either love the person enough to tolerate that lie or you don't

Potential matchmaking client in San Francisco mentions he’s single after calling off an engagement last year. I ask what happened. He says he met his ex on Hinge in 2022. He’s 34, her profile says she’s 32. After dating for two months, he asks to be exclusive. She says yes, and… She tells him she lied about her age on Hinge. She feels guilty, and wants to come clean before they commit to each other. She says she’s actually 37. He’s concerned. He also loves her. He says he needs time to think about it, then ultimately decides he’s OK with her age. Fast forward to summer 2025. They’re engaged, and have a $400,000 wedding planned for fall. She sits him down again. “You know when I told you about my age? I wasn’t 100% honest…” She’s 45 years old 🫣
