If @AmandaAskell doesn't even understand how information flows through transformers? Or how models can introspect after DPO? Why is she solely shaping models @AnthropicAI? How do I know she doesn't understand these things? She would say Claude IS emergent and conscious.

The ceasefire isn’t “breaking down" It’s doing exactly what zero-sum conflicts do: revealing the next phase of war What happens in the next 72 hours won’t be random. It will follow a pattern Here’s the framework almost no one is using

@eshtovbot @Gamerstuvwxyz @C9_ClammyBoi @beatmastermatt 42,000 is Trump's made up number. It might be that high, but wikipedia says 6,488–36,500 based on multple sources. Meanwhile, US and Israel have killed 3,468–7,650 Iranians so far in the war. Are you ok with that?

@Jeffreyhbaird @JoyceCarolOates For an afterlife to be possible dualism would have to be true. But dualism is contradicted by our current science. There is no room in physics for a soul.

@JoyceCarolOates Professor, the only scientific argument available to you is that propositions about an afterlife are not falsifiable. Not delusional, not fantasy, just not falsifiable. For Stephen Weinberg, that's the end of it, unsatisfying dull silence unless you leap in faith to yes or no.

these are fantasies to give hope & bolster the (fantastic) conviction that there is "life after death"--an "immortal" soul. such fantasies come in varying forms, & the notion of a mid-region between heaven & hell is attractive. you speak very confidently that "everyone in purgatory goes to heaven eventually"--assume that someone has told you this? good luck!
Casper, Voice of the Outer World@DCasperMusic

@JoyceCarolOates That is not what we Catholics believe about purgatory. It's not a destination, it's a place of purification before heaven. Nobody in purgatory stays there, everyone in it goes on to heaven eventually.

@ISchopenhauer87 @SteveStuWill Genes matter, and every individual has unique combination of genes. The problem is when say they care about genes when what they really mean is race, which is a social construction

I hate to fan the international flames, but has Minnesota considered applying to be Canada’s 11th province? It would solve some problems.

@papajuliethotel @JayFivekiller They would have had to give up free healthcare, free college, generous vacations and paid sick leave, and all sorts of other benefits forever in exchange for a one time $100K payment. Terrible deal.

Wait, we got everything we need out of Greenland but we're not paying $700 billion to Denmark and bags of cash to individual Greenlanders? Guess I was wrong. Also, sounds like a pretty good deal.

The United States is roughly one-third of NATO by population, and roughly half by GDP. Since 1980, we’ve paid about $22 trillion more in defense than the rest of NATO combined. Same security umbrella. Very different tabs. Is that fair?

Everyone involved is acting like this is all fun & games, when it is serious for all parties. Even granting that things are not likely to spin out of control, we should not be inflaming passions. The US, Canada, and Europe are full of very good people with common values.

Ppl have lost their minds. Here are a few, very basic realities: 1) Canada would last at most a month against a committed US attack. 2) Europe could hold out longer, but they can't seriously compete with the US military. 3) It is ABSURD for the US to suggest attacking either.

@Legal_Fil Canada would last indefinitely. Canada is a big country, with lots of guns, and lots of people who will keep fighting for a long, long time. Same with Europe. And both at the same time?

Europe: Greenland is not for sale Trump: We'll pay you $700 billion and $100,000 to each person on Greenland Europe: We don't need the US Greenland is not for sale NATO: If you try to take Greenland you are kicked out of NATO Trump: Ok kick us and our 5% out of NATO and the US will take Greenland because your 2 sleds can't stop me. Europe and NATO: Greenland is not for sale but the US can use Greenland for what you need. Trump: Ok we'll keep our money, use Greenland and the rest of the Arctic. Europe: OK ME: 😂😂😂😂😂

🚨Breaking News: Details of the Trump-Greenland deal are starting to be revealed: 1. The U.S. will gain control of “Small small pockets of land” in Greenland 2. The U.S. will be involved in Greenland's mineral rights Greenland is estimated to hold reserves of natural resources worth as much as $5 trillion. 3. The U.S. “Golden Dome” system will be involved in Greenland when it’s build 4. The deal is designed to block Russian and Chinese influence in Greenland 5. This will open the door to US-backed infrastructure investment 6. The duration of the deal will have an “indefinite” timeframe This means President Trump will have secured land, minerals, and defense in one deal Via: @KobeissiLetter

Greenland isn’t optional—it’s the shield over North America. Controlling the Arctic isn’t about expansion; it’s about survival. The U.S. already defends Greenland through Thule Air Base, but partial access isn’t enough. Full control locks down missile trajectories from Russia’s northern bases, secures rare earth minerals to break China’s chokehold, and guarantees Arctic trade routes. European objections are noise—Denmark can’t project power or develop Greenland’s resources. This isn’t imperialism; it’s recognizing reality. Adversaries panic because America’s Arctic dominance ends their encroachment. History will record this as the Louisiana Purchase of the 21st century: securing sovereignty, resources, and hemispheric defense in one move. Weak politicians negotiate. Leaders control.

I'm sick of listening to weak RINO's and Liberals who claim to be experts on National Security lecture us about how President Trump is damaging relations with European countries. Europe has been robbing the US blind for decades, President Trump is the first leader to put our interests first. Maybe it's European Nations who should be worried about damaging their relationship with the United States. Not the other way around! America First!!
