Dads with young kids Is it normal to just feel tired and burnt out all the time? It’s like you don’t even really get the weekend to recover because it’s all just kid stuff the moment you wake up Arguably the only personal time you have is when they nap (and you’re already dead tired by that time) or the hour after they go to bed but before you pass out Just trying to figure out if I’m doing something wrong

I think this is normal. In the same position with a nearly 3 year old and a 2 month old. Got into a decent routine with the oldest one where when he went to bed I’d have some downtime before starting work at night. Baby came along at 3 weeks old and actually there’s no downtime at all. Oldest in bed. I sit with the tiny one until wife comes down and then go to work. Every day feels the same. Lack of sleep means mostly a zombie. Things will improve though. I think another year 🤣

Never heard my car from the outside. My wife’s and my journeys virtually converged yesterday so I took the opportunity to stop and hear it. God I love this thing. And the wife obviously.

I need an air conditioning compressor bracket for a 2001 Saxo 1.6 vts. However they appear hard to find. This thing. The 1.4 one doesn’t fit. Any ideas on how to find a part number?

@stigsfatcousinx Did you have a 6 and 8 year old in the car? I am guessing not. I have done this run solo, with my parents with my kids. One stop has never ever been done and is not safe in any way shape or form.

@GarethDeanPR So how long did it take. I did Oban to Somerset in a diesel Discovery, 9 1/2 hours. I stopped once for fuel, ablutions and buy a drink. Why would I want to stop longer in the most overpriced place to eat en route? And still you don’t say how long it took you.

@stigsfatcousinx Because if you drive most of the length of the U.K it is a good idea to eat and have a break to rain sane and safe. None of our stops was extended by charging, we ate, drank and stretched legs while we charged.

Since this snowballed somewhat, £2k budget. 19yr old. Uni. Works agency. 1. Aygo 2. Polo 3. Fiesta 4. Corsa 5. Other. For that budget you're gonna be 2008-2011 car. And expect to service it and do brakes/tyres.

Popped the first set of tyres on one of our electric MGs yesterday. The original Bridgestones are good, but hard and noisy. We’ve had these tyres before and they’ve performed very well. 5 of our MGs are running them. Add to that, they’re dirt cheap.
